At least 73 people have been killed after a tunnel collapsed at a gold mining site in Mali, where 200 miners were working.

  1. It is truly despicable that we still allowed mine owners who are mostly greedy foreigners with fat pockets, who exploit these people with miserable wages and no future to look forward, on top of everything their families do not get indemnification.

  2. One of the biggest exporters of Gold in the World and one of the poorest. It's their Gold, Mali should be one of the richest nations on Earth but we all know rich countries get even richer while we steal all we can from African countries.

  3. No one is responsible for accidents! An acident is, by definition, unpredictable, unexpected and unavoidable.

What happened here is an entirely predictable tragedy caused by bad judgement, incompetence and indifference to known, obvious dangers.

  4. Africa 🌍 is hopeless. RIP Africa 🌍. Yes, I know Africa is a continent. 54 FAILED Countries. That's why I left 24 years ago and never returned.

  5. You cant survive on or eat gold. Stop this, it only benefits the west. Without proper industrial equipment and safety standards this type of tragedy in inevitable. Grow food. Condolences.
