Damaraland Camp by Wilderness Safaris (Namibia) | Searching for desert elephants & rhinos

Join me on a full tour in 4K of Damaraland Camp. This beautiful lodge is set in a magnificent, desolate landscape which is home to rare desert adapted elephants and black rhinos. The lodge is managed by Wilderness Safaris (Africa’s premier luxury safari operator) and has been a model for community-based conservation initiatives since 1996….

  1. So, so, so enjoyable.
I've watched many southern African safari vids, but this is, undoubtedly, one of the best.
I could smell the wood smoke of the fire, I tasted the fine dust that the elephants raised, I saw God's glory in the sunrise.
One can't ask for much more than this.
    God bless,
    Dave

  2. Excellent travelogue as always . Your videography and presentation skills along with choice of locales are from another world. They are an absolute joy to watch. Keep it up

  3. Here you are drawn into a world similar to March. To a cozy and simple hotel that gives you everything you could want. The hotel gives you a sense of what it is like to live locally, with its robust and natural furniture and interior. Here you are really in one with nature, with its simple little cabins. The fact that you have the opportunity to see the wilderness so closely, with its black rhinos and majestic elephants, makes the experience absolutely fantastic. Fabulous service from the staff with a surprise breakfast. Nice story and video. And here you have brought out much of the simple and natural that gives you an inner peace and tranquility. Beautiful video. With many nice pictures that capture many beautiful situations and moments.

  4. Set in the Huab River valley, Damaraland Camp Namibia boasts sensational views of the surrounding desert plains, ancient valley and the soaring peaks of the Brandberg Mountains. Ten adobe-style thatch units are raised on individual wooden decks, park of which extends out to form a large viewing platform with magnificent vistas.

  5. What a breakfast ! Also the combination of music, and silence was perfect. Particularly liked the African choral music half way through- reminded me of the choral music at the end of “Cry Freedom” – still have this video clip on my phone- immensely powerful with the rolling script. Did also enjoy the “simpleness” of it and the friendliness of staff. Can’t wait till next week – shudder to think how good if best ever you have stayed in !

  6. Fantastic, I have been to Namibia five times. A great holiday destination, but until Namibia Government stops this Corvid-19 restrictions I will stay away. Off to Florida for my next holiday, no nonsense and I can enjoy my holiday.
