Would have never thought this. I thought pounded yams was fresh whole yams made like mashed potatoes were made.
I come from the pacific 🏝 Island (South Pacific Island) we do with fresh cassava and yam 🍠 …we normally use coconut 🥥 cream instead of water 🥰 This is interesting. Thank you 😊

Try starting the mix with cold water and gradually add warmer water, this way youth avoid having serious lumps thus have to pound out sooooo much to get rid of lumps
