  2. Akhenaten and his queen Nefertiti were intelligent to understand that worshipping Cows and other animals didnt make sense. All are living beings and face death. My recent visit to the upgraded National Museum of Egypt where Akhenaten and his queen Nefertiti is shown mentions that Akhenaten argued there is only one God and it is Sun. It showers light on all creatures including Cows etc… Akhenaten and his queen Nefertiti did not promote a single God concept as known to Christians, Muslims and Jews. By the way, it is interesting to note that India, Vedas also promoted single God concept around BC1500 (especially – Rig Veda). However, both in India and Egypt, the single God concept was opposed by vested priestly interests . That is why Akhenaten was poisoned. By the way, is there any historical proof that Joseph (Yousef) governed Egypt (e.g from the scrolls of Pharaoh)? Our guide said there is no such proof. However, he stated that Pharaoh records mention about Moses as a Prince and got a "Khatoush"" as he was really smart Prince, but due to slave ancestry, no noble brides were available . Lack of brides may be one of the reasons why Moses chose to join his ancestry tribe quitting the Princely path.

  3. From the finds it is quite clear that the heretical doctrine of the Pharaoh Akhenaten was the cause of malformation and desertification in strong contrast with the official religion of the Egypt linked to the prosperity of the Nile river! And the history of this heretical Pharaoh should have taught that architecture and industry in general in the hands of monotheistic doctrines is the cause of malformation and desertification!

  4. This is utter nonsense from start to finish. Almost nothing claimed about Akhenaten here is correct. He was not a monotheist, he did not forbid the worship of any god other than Amun, he did not close any other temples nor deface the images of any gods other than Aten, he did not demand that the Egyptians worship only one god, he did not invent monotheism not spread it anywhere, there is no evidence of Aten worship no images nor temples whatever anywhere other that Thebes and Akhetaten-Amarna. All Pharaohs were gods, nothing new there. Total fiction from start to finish.

  7. Amo Israel was what the jewish slaves were known as 100 years prior. "One God" theory came from Moses.
Amenhotep 2 kept Joseph the Jew as a high profile figure in a city called Avaris.

  8. Are individuals aware that the tradition of elongating the head, practiced by the Mangbetu people tribes, is rooted in the indigenous black African culture?
The Mangbetu people considered an elongated head as a symbol of beauty, and this practice involved shaping the heads of babies. Notably, Akhenaten and Nefertiti adopted a similar practice, underscoring the cultural diversity among indigenous black Africans across different tribes throughout the continent.

The portrayal of elongated heads in paintings, actually reflects the practice observed among these cultures, including the Mangbetu people. Even in depictions of infants, the intentional shaping of the head is evident, emphasizing the continuity of the tradition within these communities and Africa continent.

  9. Alhenaton did not use force. His word was law as pharaoh. He could have had opponents jailed, tortured, or killed as heretics. Non of that, he mearly exused high ranking military and corrupt among business leaders, and the very royal aristotic family, from their power and position, so they could enter the aton temple, they just were relieved of all their projects and feudal pursuits. After 17 years the military in particular had enough. He was egypts john kennedy or julius caesar, only unlike caesar, he had no one killed nor led any war, not even to establish as history notes a cult declaring him its son and messanger on earth. If he had been a ivan the terrible, or caligula (worst of rome along with herod and nero), it would make for a better movie.he looked wierd and creepy. If he was evil or tyrranical he'd be a better frankenstine, a donald trump or hitler, as if the ancient world was not tertible enough, each pharaoh, each king, queen, and "president" of the ancient worlds if judged by todays ethical-moral standards, would be doing time in jail for murder of enemies, opponents, and just servants or slaves who did't being them their morning coffee fast enough, not to mention they'd have a date with united nations for various war crimes, also, just crimes against humanity in general, therefor "we" as citizens and quasi historians give the ancients the benefit of the doubt, try to see the best in each one of "them", while at the same time noticing and acknowleging the few among them, who were indeed the worst. Leaders so bad, even the ancients had to say so. However there were the average leaders. Also most influencial. Constantine, effectivly, did, what the modern historians innocently claim akhenaton attempted to do to egypt. Only constantine, as roman emperor, like all emperors and elected presidents of greeko-democratic rome, had their military plans, social ideas, and wishes made as law. Constantine used force, normal force, to have christianity, and the normative strain of christianity the religon of the roman emipire. If he had done that and that alone, and still alowed other faiths, also other christianity's to flourish, he would be seen by history as a "just conquerer" a conqurerer none the less. Constantine used force to spread christianity in rome, the normal ly accepted version. He had people tortured, and or murderered who refused, or politely declined the second time asked. Also, once accomplished, no other faiths were legal in rome. Akhenaton, did intolerantly outlaw "all other faiths". However his "law" was in regard to presentation. Had it been true, that the preists of the aton cult, were so unbelievablely corrupt and powerfull, and the other cults benign and benevolent, and his mother had taught him, that that aton, and its emmisaries, are no good, and with the evidence, as jesus would have called "the fruit" been as corrupt as his mother told him, perhaps he would have had a pantheistic revival in ancient egypt, and if the pantheon was the old original way, what better fuel for the arguement, just as bad old gets replaced by good new, good old is reborn in a future generation, that is good, wise too one hopes. Akehenaton used no normal, what "we" as historians would forgive each and every ancient royal or leader, be he che guevara or akhenaton. One a paesant, fighting the rich, the other, a royal, who unlike sidddarta, staus home, raises his children, and reigns for 17 years, of peace. Deborah created a 40 year peace, golden age, and she used force, and fought and led a war, to create that peace. Akhenaton was monogimous, he was the first pacifist anti war hippie (unless attacked). He obviously had lots of sex and was no psycotic repressed amoral creature like hitler. A freak he was. Happy he was. Peace. Sex. Unity. Individuality. Now we only need he take back the idea that he is atons son. Only he already did that in his poem last testimony. He said that sun worship was not his idea, and that the sun to him, in effect the material worlds opposite reflection of the light of life, love, and human moral growth and maintinience. And so, as "the aton" to the world he hrew up in was only power, he was relating that its man's moral maitinence and or growth, that, like the sun, shines more than bright and powerfull enough, to sustain oneself, and others growing that aton, or moral awareness that like the sun, impregnates all the living from afar. So for him, aton was man's real growth only, and the sun, a mear symbol to point to, and utilize for the growth of love, morality, and the light and rainbows side to life in general. The sun, unlike aton, serves the villian, the normal, the hero, and the saint. The sun won't go out, because donald trump (surely the nightmare of the ancient greeks, was that acresture, such as trump, would ever rise to king or leader.). So, the sun stays, its the other aton, that dosent.

  10. Contrary to what Freud postulated, Akhenaten is not connected to Moses, because Moses himself is a literary invention of the Bible by post-exilic hebrews, to romanticize their origins after the babylonian captivity. There was no historical Exodus. What actually happened is that some regions of the Near East subject to Egypt received news of the Aten reform, and that's it, but it didn't have everlasting impact. Other major empires had their own major gods and already where going through changes centuries before Akhenaten, because of their own history. Remember that Freud didn't know any better because he didn't have much material to work with and had personal biases against Judaism. Jan Assman simply built his research after Freud and made the same mistakes. Akhenaten's reform must be considered in the context of egyptian history, and not as a universal truth, which it wasn't. It is not monotheism, since the idea was not present at the time and is a western concept created after the Renaissance. Akhenaten's reign was brief and his son immediately restored the other gods. Akhenaten is just a curve in the great parable of Egypt, it's just that archeology back then didn't know any better and sensationalized its discoveries. Be smarter people, and do actual researches, instead of falling for outdated theories.
