  1. Wow its so strange seeing this documentary in my neighborhood. Cleveland County is where i live, and im on the gaston county line lol. I know a lot of the officers and some of these inmates from school and seeing them on the streets. I always wondered what happened to Dylan Ledford, havent seen him since 10th grade. Man he has fallen far

  2. 25:08 All this for calling in a false report. It wasn't done maliciously. He might have very well thought what he was reporting was true, just like he thinks the facial recognition and AI is real. He took no steps to hide his identity and used his real name.
I can understand keeping the charges alive to force him into a hospital. But they aren't even doing that.

  3. Most of these problems cannot be treated. They act like there's a pill to fix every problem. This is simply not true in the mh field. Most of what they suffer with cannot be treated or cured. It's more like managed.

  4. It is sad. They drop alot of mentally ill people into seriously strained conservative communities to thrive without facilitating meaningful labor. I've been opposed to "brain drain" from the fronts of internal affairs as well as the foreign securities council. It is a REAL community distraction. I am sorry that the community engagement for non-spiritual or divergent proponents of the second chance also need to be tasked when they're called to do so, but it is the likes of conservatives themselves that want the engagements of social-hype to also engage a controversial cue-card that most the transplants are unappreciative of… and I'm certainly not. Nonsense exists when people make the worst decisions and are unjustly committed onto the state. This is why it's important to be prompt in law enforcement with the resources agreed on in bipartisan prioritization…. which exists on the default of the consensus of representatives in primaries and runoffs. Very bad form once again to lead convictions toward community advocates of feng shui for proper-health when a Liver doctor had been giving the diseased prisoner tips to "well and hungry Conservatives" the way the GOP found its start in Texas. People are idiots in general. No Judge-Shopping (For Sure) and No Starlinks for Pulling Out of Public Address. To Hell with the Republic. We've been nuked to shit.

  5. It is not a funding problem. Crying about funding is a universal cry of the bureaucrat. The problem is that these people are very resistant to treatment. For many of them, treatment has to be incarceration.

  6. You know damn well that many Americans feel that these “scary” people would be better off euthanized , crazy how you know damn well these people will get out and commit a heinous crime and will eventually be sent to life in prison or death row, where the community will finally be “safe” all because Americans put things like sending money to Ukraine, sending money as “aid” to other countries and defense budgets before they’re own citizens.

  7. I worked in mental health in Australia, recently reired, It is a thankless task and we fight every cent ….. it is all about money. We don't get any money to actually support the clients. It is a hard job and if you care you get burnt out pretty quickly.

  8. As long as we prioritize for profit prisons that benefit by the day per person and elect officials that brand themselves as “law and order” rather than justice for all we’ll continue to get this outcome.
We use the police as a frontline for mental health. They are not trained mental health professionals. We use prisons for addiction rehabilitation and mental health services when they are not able to do these things. Yet we build prisons like Walmarts.
This can change. If we all participate in every election no matter how small and write our representatives until they know us by name. Godspeed to all.

  9. It’s up to each individual person (adult) to exist lawfully within society. Good luck with getting help. Too many people and too little resources. So, behave better to stay out of the system. Taking drugs is not an excuse.

  10. A stunning display of the fracture and disconnect mental-health treatment in America is today and why more money needs to be directed to improving policies and systems to correctly identify and properly place ITP patients into care which aligns with their needs. Just think, the republicans want to sunset Medicaid too. Imagine how broken a LESS funded system will be. America, and society as a whole in the west, needs to do better!

  11. this problem exists in new zealand and england. both countries closed down psychiatric hospitals without properly funding community care. the justice system is left to cope with the unwell. and can't.

  12. How's the mental district case that wins to the big institution leaders indicate the system literal physically beat to get retribution conceive there given ends loopholes to act intended reach because of legal Mental evaluation themselves is a permenit Issue sure a human behavior applies to every person's person's imperfections
Basically every individual as extreme mental care medical needs that have to be met
    Thank you !

  13. As a regular person, prioritize issue resolution and problem-solving, embracing love and care for others as the ultimate solution. Advocate for peace instead of squandering resources on funding wars; redirect such funds to aid those in need, such as inmates with mental illness and homeless veterans. Reflect on the billions spent on conflicts like Ukraine and Israel, recognizing that every life lost is one too many. It's perplexing why some resist friendliness and honesty, as the cycle of hostility leads nowhere productive.

  14. The inmate is on pschosis from drugs, and can hold a full articulate conversation. By law it's different in different states. Amphetimines can damage perception. He obviously commited a sex crime against a minor, and those charges shouldn't go away. . He's not fit for society obviously. By threatening and talking back to the law. Denied underage kids. He doesn't have a support system ,because they saw his charges and drug use. Criminals bottomline don't care about victims. Mental illness is counseling and medication, but you do the crime you do the time and that applies to anyone this country. Under felony circumstances versus misdemeanor crimes ,with background and history. There is a difference of mentally ill, versus mentally insane plea. And clearly planning out a bomb threat by using any or cyber bomb threat through internet speaker system electronic source is planning the crimes. Pschosis is an issue from chemical dependency or lack of taking medicine for bipolar or other medical conditions. Which by law there are resources given to correct medical conditions and facilities.

  15. I deal with mental illness where there is violent behavior married to nam vet who also had schizophrenia and severe ptsd with several other disorders all of his children inherited this condition all have criminal records for violence. I can't tell you how many times I taken my husband to the V,A, and was told there were no beds it was actually so often the er there knew who he was and would call police security to come sit with him while he was in the er. He has assaulted me often once with a baseball bat and was taken by ambulance to the va hospital where he tore up the er room assaulted police and staff and four days later they called me saying come get him when i arrived i requested a meeting with staff before we left while waiting i could clearly see he was still in manic state when I pointed this out to the staff they took him back and kept him seventeen more days when he came home he was so heavily medicated he could barely walk I was told it was the best they could do as they needed the beds and couldn't keep him any longer. I actually had a va dr tell me that when the vets started coming home from Iraq and Afghanistan to be very careful because when president bush signed the papers for us to enter those wars he did not sign for provisions to provide care for them and that the govt knew these vets would be dangerous and armed so to get away from any signs of aggression especially in the parking lot of the hospital. This country needs to do something this veteran totally snapped five years ago and is out there on his own when deemed in 2005 not capable of taking care of himself and I live in fear that any day he could show up and kill me. When he has been arrested he goes to jail and they send him to the va who medicates him more and lets him go with no concern for the public or my safety. I have sons that will physically attack people for just looking at them and one who was convicted of torturing his children nothing was done just a restraining order between him and the children that was never enforced.

  16. My beautiful boy had schizophrenia. He's twenty years old and tells me he thinks he's god. And I just lovingly look at him and listen to him patiently. At this time, he i's on two medications. But these voices are still coming through. I tell my boy it's your mind honey it's just your mind telling you these things and it's ok. There are "command" voices that can be cruel and demeaning to the mentally ill. Command voices may tell the person to get violent.. These people are trapped and live in hell with this illness if not on medication.
