How come I didn't saw this video for this long? I am an Ethiopian and you did a great job. We usually dont marinate the chicken like you did,but add the garlic and ginger mix in to the onion and I will try to marinate next time I make Doro Wot.

Hello Nanaaba , I am from Canada and I just found out that my ancestors are from Ethiopia we are Jewish. And I want to learn to cook some food from my ancestral country. I’ve made ox tail with cassava and I love it. I’m new on your channel Shalom❤.
The food looks DELICIOUS! Would love to try Doro Wet sometime
Man I loved watching this! 😂😂😂❤
Funny story, I remember having an Ethiopian roommate in college and I remember one day in between classes I was in the dorm room starving and I go in the fridge and saw this glass bowl filled with this chili like pasty substance and something told my to grab a spoon and try some of this stuff even though it wasn’t mine, but my roommates. I was like F that! I’m I’m starving my a*s off and omg! I took just a took out a little on the spoon and it was soo spicy, but yet so flavorful! I had no idea what it was. I love spicy but that was a whole different kind of spicy. Fast forward. Every day I’m sneaking a little out of the bowl here and there hoping he doesn’t notice and I’m like damn, I wish I knew what this was, but was too afraid to ask my roommate fearing that he would notice when he revisited the fridge to eat his food. It was suiting there all week! Thank God he didn’t notice, but I’ve always wanted to know what that stuff was and this stuff looks almost identical to what I ate. Although I don’t believe there was chicken inside or eggs. I always thought it may have been some sort of ground beef, but also I never actually lifted up the lid of the small container that it was in wide enough to notice so idk..😂
So amazing Nanaaba! I’m Eritrean and this is also our traditional dish. I love it! 👏
