Also, thank you to fellow reporter @TommyGMcGee for linking us up with the fixer that made all of this possible.

  1. @44:45
I think the main problem with the idea of 'inevitable reclaiming of the city by the criminals and drug addicts' isn't true. That only seems to be the case bc crazy lenient DA offices that don't lock people in jail/prison or mandatory drug/psych treatment.

Same with your statement that Jack's "desire to do crime is a reaction to gentrification" — I'm taking what he's saying as an excuse and poor attempt at justification, not his actual motivation.

  2. This is an exceptional documentary. You have addressed difficult issues unflinchingly, but with tact and compassion. There is no hint of ‘poverty porn’ voyeurism. Each individual is thus able to be presented as another human being, many with a complicated history and dealing with significant personal crises. I feel as though I have learnt so much about this subject in the past hour. Thank you for not making the suffering into ‘content’.

  3. I live in Delaware and I’m hooked on that Philly shit unfortunately. I have someone who goes up to Kensington a couple times a week. My fiancée had to have surgery done in her arm cause of an abscess cause I missed on her. Although I’ve never been there I can absolutely relate. It’s an absolute epidemic. I’ve been to rehab many times and I just keep going back like an idiot. I had 5 years clean at one point but my addictive behavior brought me back to it. It often seems like there’s nothing can help. More people need to be educated on this subject. It’s not just an addiction it’s a disease. I hope to get help some day but my mental health has been absolutely eradicated.

  4. “Recognizing the spiritual sickness that runs through the veins of this collapsing country, Greed Death and Decay can be seen as absolutes; and so the alienated individual figures they’re just a temporary placeholder for an omnipresent evil that will exist with or without them”. Wow. Incredibly astute statement that is really striking a cord with me. This is an incredibly well done video, I will be subscribing.

  5. the connection to chinese manufacturers is absolutely crazy. would you consider doing more investigation into the connection between wuhan institute of virality and the drug problem in the US. Would love to hear your cross analysis.

  6. Your doing the world a service man. Boots on the ground. Showing everyone first hand what’s going on in americas backyard. These types of channels are 10x better than the news.
