  1. I'm 81 not trying to be a Mr Atlas but working out.Trying to stay under 140 to keep my Blood Pressure down. I use Whey Protein isolate 1 tablespoon per meal, and 1 tablespoon Garden of Life Pea and other vegetarian proteins. ! tablespoon as I measured is 5 grams of protein, I also do 5 grams of Collagen Peptides with it in a 9 or 10 0nce glass of Lactose free 2% all total about 25 Grams of Protein two on an off day and three on a work out day. It tastes good and works good for me. I'm 137 to 140 on and off, I fast one meal if I start getting up to 140.I also use 1 tablespoon of organic Cacao powder which helps with the taste.

  2. Hey sir ,
I have my heart surgery in 2021 now i am looking for mass gainer or whey protein to gain weight. Could you tell me which whey protein is good for me, which does not cause any issues or side effect to me.

  3. I've always been a lanky woman (22yo/5'10"/130lbs) and I've been using OWYN brand pea protein for about a month as a little extra umph when I noticed that my mass gain wasn't where I wanted it to be. My favorite recipe uses frozen cherries, strawberries, and kale (I swear you cannot taste it). Add one scoop of vanilla protein powder and about a cup of cranberry juice. I'm definitely noticing a slow but steady muscle growth and definition. Patience is key!

  4. Hi Dr. Wagner. I'm a 59 year old female & have Type 2 Diabetes but I'm "underweight". Is there a protein powder that has "low" carbs & help me gain weight? As a diabetic, I have to watch my carbs. A response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  5. I can't do whey protein, it gives me a headache every time. I know it's the whey protein that's the culprit because I tried whey isolate powder. I stick to pea protein isolate powder because of that and because it's affordable. I prefer isolate because I can add my own drink flavoring. Recently I've been adding apple cider powder to my protein shakes and it's delicious!

  6. Dairy (whey and casein) comes from cows fed food that is cheap but not good for them. In addition that food is sprayed (at least in the United States) with glyphosate and other herbicides and pesticides that are carcinogen.

  7. Pea protein isolate is surprisingly palatable (compared to something like soy isolate). It can be a little grainy, but I bet cooking it could denature some of the tightly bound proteins by cooking it. The first time i tried it I though "if you prepared this right, it could be a really inexpensive zero-carb hummus"

  8. In a blender a handful of walnuts or cashews handful of frozen peas scoop of Raw whey protein with chocolate almond cashew milk. Blend and drink. Frozen fruit medley is another great.

  9. Not sure if this was just a mistranslation/misunderestanding, but I thought the ideal protein amount for athletes was 1g per KG of body weight, not LB.
    1g per lb feels excessive.

  10. I'm a diabetic, over 50 and have reduced appetite so I use protein drinks a few times a week. I'm also a vegetarian so vegan powders are my fave, with natural sugar substitutes like monk fruit and stevia.

  11. Im a girl who’s so muscular from working out hard when I was 18-25. Im 27 and don’t want to be jacked anymore. I guess I’ll cut as much protein as I can out of my diet.
