Hi Expressoians ….love the show, love the presenters…keep doing what you're doing! This was raised last year and it seems like its continuing in 2024. Why are there no Black African male presenters on Expresso??. Isn't Expresso suppose to be a South African show that represents the so called rainbow nation or do Black African men dont exist or dont qualify to be presenters on Expresso? The way Espresso has selected presenters is confusing and counterproductive. Expresso is failing to read the room by further perpetuating stereotypes about South Africa. IF YOU DONT BELIEVE ME JUST LOOK AT THE DEMOGRAPHICS OF THE CAPETOWN STUDIO?? and look at the ONLY demographic being represented at the Joburg studio. There are no 'Africans' at the Capetown studio, the only 'African' is at the Johannesburg studio and only ONE female African is enough for the Johannesburg studio. Just ONE lonely African female presenter is enough, divided and separated from the choosen presenters at the Capet Town studio!! There are absolutely NO Indian presenters on Expreso, NO White female presenters and NO African male presenters!! Is this by design or just a coincidence? We understand that Black African males form part of the majority of South Africans and this fact upsets, annoys and angers alot of people in powerful and influential positions in South African and Westernised mainstream media. The rising tide of animosity and hatred of Black African men, a hatred thats always existed in media, is not shown blatantly through mainstream Western media like it use to, its shown subversively by omission and the exclusion of heteronormative Black men from mainstream media platforms. Excluding the voices of heteronormative Black men from mainstream Western media isn't by coincidence, its NOT by mistake, its by design and its intentional.
