Lovely and very informative post. One thing I wish I knew before coming is to leave behind my leather shoes and bags. The humidity did a good one on them. Or if you are coming for a long stay, invest in a dehumidifier or some leather protector product. Also, take your anti-malaria drugs… malaria here is no joke.
