🚩 The Battle of Clontarf was a major military encounter that occurred in Ireland in April 1014. The battle is best known for being the culmination of a conflict between the local Irish kingdoms and the Viking forces, which had gained a foothold in Ireland.

So basically Vikings and Irish fighting Irish and Vikings, everybody lost except Sigtrygg who neither won or lost… Describing it as an Irish army against a Viking army is a bit misleading. Surely it can be thought of as the end of the viking age but really it represents how merged the Irish-Norse culture and ethnicity had become; the Vikings simply never left and today all Irish carries some Viking blood within them.

there's a little bit of a skip at the beginning where you switch from the end battle to the set-up of the end battle. I felt this was a bit jolted and I struggled to realise what you had done. I enjoy your work but the editing could be a bit better there. Great series for early school. best regards
