  1. Some eat Tutsi people. No matter what the M23 wants this triggers a trauma response. The government wants to keep pumping for oil and other minerals too same as some rebel groups. Those oil blocks will be build no matter what displacing thousands of people again. The last bits of forests are sacrificed for money and the people are not getting better of that.

  2. Has President Tshisekedi and Minister Muyaya with other members of the cabinet made any trips to this region in crisis? Is it also a far off land somewhere in peril that they speak to across tables and high chairs while people are displaced and dying? How truly connected are they to the issue at hand- this debilitating continuous genocide? It’s angering and heartbreaking …

  3. How can you stop this figthing when Congolese army are killing the banyamulenge chasing them out of the farms. first is to stop tribalism and hatred in Congo the banyamlunge need protection too thats where the m23 come from,,MUyaya has no idea what is talking about i was born in Congo i know if they dont stop tribalism there will be no peace. Conoglese need to learn how to coexist.

  4. Oh Africans, they never learned their real enemies " if they understand they never fight each other.
Africa they respect clans more than faith " one clan living two different states such as Rwanda and D.R Congo " really its very simple to solve these problems but someone against Africa wants to create conflict between them and funding a lot of money " we now Africa leaders they love money and corruption because they are looking their own interests, that's why they are in the hands of the colonial powers ", hope in the nearest future to understand and respect each other to become power themselves. Thank you.

  5. Poor journalism from Al Jazeera to shut down guests before they finish talking!
That being said, the root cause of this conflict is the Congolese govt failure to recognize ethnic minorities in the east and treat them like second class citizens

  6. Most of suffering is caused by hatred, ego, selfishness, greed and luck of wisdom.

Therefore no matter what we do if we don't learn how to love each other, to be united, to know how to live in peace and to use wisdom we will never prevent suffering.

  7. Human governments have failed to solve human problems. This raises a question. Are politicians the hope of solving human problems? – the answer is clearly not them. Because politicians have been around for thousands of years but have failed to solve human problems. Why have politicians failed to bring solutions to problems?
If politicians have failed to solve human problems, then what is the solution to human problems? –

  8. I think Paul Kagame is becoming a problem for Africa. Lets not talk about ethnicity, lets unite Africa. Lets no loot resources from our people, rather lets develop Africa. War is Destruction not construction.

  9. Why is always French colony has only terrorists, Troup against country, people being killed, ….. raise this topic and find a solution 😂 but stop using Rwanda, we are no longer French colony that why we are used, but we know and understand our rights

  10. Who is Ruberwa and Nyarugabo???
What Tutsis are you talking about.
You can't all be Generals and Ministers in Country that is not yours.
Go back to Rwanda. Kinyaruanda= Rwanda. Go home. Lay down the weapons. You will never win. You have been fighting for 20 years. Look at the size of DR Congo and Rwanda.
You cannot make Bunagana a Tutsi Empire. You are delusional.

  11. This western news Ancer is paid by Congo to discredit the m23 spokesperson cutting his line and not allowing him to finish his sentence when he is bringing factual reports. He is on the ground the others are not even in drc just going on propaganda hearsay. This is biased coverage just further fueling the conflict

  12. Patrick was with 5G, because his is in Kinshasa in peace, that is why he doesn't know what's on the ground just like those from Nairobi, Cape town and in Doha. Right now, do you think Lawrence needs WIFI or peace?

  13. But DRC is such a big country i fail to understand why they fail to put together a dedicated army to deal with these guys. Is it lack of leadership from Tshisekedi maybe?

  14. The mention of the M-23 is perplexing, as it appears nonexistent, yet discussion revolves around the housing of its troops!

The roots of the M23 issue trace back to Africa's colonial history, specifically when Belgium delineated parts of Rwanda to the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), leading to the integration of Kinyarwanda-speaking people who share cultural ties with Rwanda. While many African nations assimilated such populations, embracing them as their own, the DRC has long oppressed its Kinyarwanda-speaking inhabitants. The FDRL exacerbated this persecution, echoing their actions in Rwanda during the 1994 genocide against the Tutsi.

The resolution seems straightforward: either embrace the M23 and their community, affording them acceptance and rights, or allocate them territory to establish their own nation. This fundamental decision resonates with the cause they fervently champion.

  15. The screen banner says “NEARLY 7 MILLION PEOPLE DISPLACED”. The trouble with this lie is that 7 million is greater than the total population of North Kivu, the only province where the m23 is.

  16. The humanitarian crisis in eastern DRC is not developing. It is continually escalating! Amazingly, Christians, – piously in the pews of churches and missions organizations worldwide, – see no evil, hear no evil but do evil by omission and absence.

  17. Can people commenting here go on Wikipedia or any reliable source of information and get informed on the events (chronologically) that lead to the crisis in Eastern Congo since 1990 and stop showing silliness by saying "It's Kagame…It's Rwanda…There are only angels and peace in DRC… " 🤨😮‍💨
