ICJ hears Israel genocide case: South Africa brings case to UN's highest legal body

South Africa is set to begin a legal battle against Israel on Thursday.
It accuses Israel of genocide in Gaza, during its intense bombardment and ground operation in the strip.
The hearings at the International Court of Justice in The Hague are scheduled to last two days, with both parties laying out their arguments.

  1. Daly based show there's subject to Pakistan Pakistan superme court of Pakistan and army of Pakistan and others peoples ? What is there's subject not understanding ? Related order of international court justice south Africa United nations general scientific said ?

  2. Free the 136 civilian hostages- including the 10 mo baby (now over 1 year old baby) they took, otherwise no one has a say!
And for all those that say, “well at least the baby is still alive and Palestinian children are not” …we DONT KNOW if this baby is alive and you are complicit and ok bc it’s an Israeli baby. Double standard!
It’s EVIL to think this way.
Hamas took these civilians as hostages including babies and old sick people and anyone who tries to ignore or is ok with this is COMPLICIT with terror and you don’t deserve an ounce of regard to your plight.

  3. this case is nothing but a vile attempt to give hamas a lifeline, again using the palestinians as convenient excuse .. no wonder why the icj did not grant south africa's interim plea for an immediate ceasefire .. 😢

  6. South Africa has filed a grossly unfounded case against Israel at the International Court of Justice (ICJ), accusing Israel of genocide and asking the court to order Israel to immediately halt its military efforts in Gaza. We write to you to express our disgust at this filing, which perpetrates false and dangerous allegations against the Jewish state.

We share the administration's position that Israel has the right to defend itself against Hamas terror and appreciate the strong statement of National Security Council spokesman John Kirby that the South African application is "meritless, counterproductive, and completely without any basis in fact whatsoever."

South Africa's accusation of genocide against Israel exposes how far Israel's enemies will go in their attempts to demonize the Jewish state. While barely acknowledging the Hamas terrorists who gleefully massacred, mutilated, raped, and kidnapped innocent civilians on October 7, South Africa makes grossly unfounded and defamatory charges against Israel on the world stage, abusing the judicial process in order to delegitimize the democratic State of Israel. Charging the Jewish state with genocide for defending itself against Hamas terror is particularly cynical given that the term "genocide" was coined following the murder of six million Jews in the Holocaust.

We vigorously denounce South Africa's deeply hostile stance towards Israel and thoroughly reject its charge of genocide. We urge you to continue to do the same, to offer Israel all appropriate support in opposing the South African application to the ICJ, and to encourage our allies to join us in speaking out against this unfounded attack on Israel, particularly at the United Nations and in other intergovernmental organizations.

  8. Shame on you South Africa for advocating for evil! In your support of Hamas, you show that you are actually against the people of Palestine. Hamas causes untold suffering to the people of Palestine. The people of Palestine prefer to live in Israel than in Gaza! They are treated better in Israel by Israelis than in Gaza by Hamas!

  9. bringing a decision to warrant the travel for aide to the Palestinians wont bring the thousands of MURDRED peoples that the IDF slaughtered…medicine and food wont put back together lives that were blown away with Depleted Uranium…what a cover-up

  10. Isaiah 1

1 The vision concerning Judah and Jerusalem that Isaiah son of Amoz saw during the reigns of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz and Hezekiah, kings of Judah.
    A Rebellious Nation
2 Hear me, you heavens! Listen, earth! For the LORD has spoken: “I reared children and brought them up, but they have rebelled against me.
3 The ox knows its master, the donkey its owner’s manger, but Israel does not know, my people do not understand.”
4 Woe to the sinful nation, a people whose guilt is great, a brood of evildoers, children given to corruption! They have forsaken the LORD; they have spurned the Holy One of Israel and turned their backs on him.
5 Why should you be beaten anymore? Why do you persist in rebellion? Your whole head is injured, your whole heart afflicted.
6 From the sole of your foot to the top of your head there is no soundness— only wounds and welts and open sores, not cleansed or bandaged or soothed with olive oil.
7 Your country is desolate, your cities burned with fire; your fields are being stripped by foreigners right before you, laid waste as when overthrown by strangers.
8 Daughter Zion is left like a shelter in a vineyard, like a hut in a cucumber field, like a city under siege.
9 Unless the LORD Almighty had left us some survivors, we would have become like Sodom, we would have been like Gomorrah.
10 Hear the word of the LORD, you rulers of Sodom; listen to the instruction of our God, you people of Gomorrah!
11 “The multitude of your sacrifices— what are they to me?” says the LORD. “I have more than enough of burnt offerings, of rams and the fat of fattened animals; I have no pleasure in the blood of bulls and lambs and goats.
12 When you come to appear before me, who has asked this of you, this trampling of my courts?
13 Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations— I cannot bear your worthless assemblies.
14 Your New Moon feasts and your appointed festivals I hate with all my being. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them.
15 When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood!
16 Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong.
17 Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed.Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.
18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
    19 If you are willing and obedient, you will eat the good things of the land;
20 but if you resist and rebel, you will be devoured by the sword.” For the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
21 See how the faithful city has become a prostitute! She once was full of justice; righteousness used to dwell in her— but now murderers!
22 Your silver has become dross, your choice wine is diluted with water.
23 Your rulers are rebels, partners with thieves; they all love bribes and chase after gifts. They do not defend the cause of the fatherless; the widow’s case does not come before them.
24 Therefore the Lord, the LORD Almighty, the Mighty One of Israel, declares: “Ah! I will vent my wrath on my foes and avenge myself on my enemies.
25 I will turn my hand against you;I will thoroughly purge away your dross and remove all your impurities.
26 I will restore your leaders as in days of old, your rulers as at the beginning. Afterward you will be called the City of Righteousness, the Faithful City.”
27 Zion will be delivered with justice, her penitent ones with righteousness.
28 But rebels and sinners will both be broken, and those who forsake the LORD will perish.
29 “You will be ashamed because of the sacred oaks in which you have delighted; you will be disgraced because of the gardens that you have chosen.
30 You will be like an oak with fading leaves, like a garden without water.
31 The mighty man will become tinder and his work a spark; both will burn together, with no one to quench the fire.”

  11. South Africa Genocide – 486 260 South Africans were murdered between 1994 and 2017.

Fifty-eight people died in South Africa today. And yesterday. And tomorrow, 58 more will die. I am not talking about Covid-19 (Coronavirus) deaths. I am referring to the number of murdered people.

With about 2500 deaths so far, world stock exchange prices have declined remarkably – described by some as the worst since the 2008 financial crisis, with some investors fearing an imminent worldwide recession.

Why, despite not one case of Covid-19 in South African at the time of writing, is everyone in the country on high alert while many South Africans and the government remain unconcerned about the scourge of murder that far, far outweighs the Covid-19 threat?

BusinessTech reported that the UN Office on Drugs and Crime’s July 2019 report said more than 486 260 South Africans were murdered between 1994 and 2017.

  12. Desmond Tutu 1931–

If you are neutral in situations of injustice, you have chosen the side of the oppressor. If an elephant has its foot on the tail of a mouse and you say that you are neutral, the mouse will not appreciate your neutrality. As a South African I 100% stand with Palestine!
