  1. Yoh! Brother Asad… Do you use materials from my people's like Dr. Amos Willson, Dr. Clarke, Dr. Ben Jochannan and those true teachers of our people?

I know my eternal, brother Malcolm X don't get no love in institutions like WITS, I'm not even gonna ask😔

  2. South Africa has many social problems, but we appreciate your channel and of other African Americans who show that its not all doom and gloom but you show the positive side of SA. Please do ignore the trolls and haters, they will always be there.

  3. I was in New York for the first time last week. I did not feel out of place. It felt very familiar. I was blown away by the transport infrastructure though. I wonder if it is the same in most parts of the US. If it is, we have some work to do.

  4. the ones complaining are the ones that did not want to take their life serious by the time they had a chance.😂but i guess we just let them sit on their brains'while we injoy life move forward

  5. Hello my name is Tiye', I'm a single mother of 1 and I was recently in South Africa this past December and was highly considering investing/moving there.. what is the best way to contact you and dialogue about resources, tips etc.

  6. Once you are settled and have lived longer in SA, you will start to differentiate the south africans from non, but it wil take time. South Africans don't complain about such.
SA men hardly make lame comments or argue, they are intelligent but you will hardly hear from their mouth, mostly, they let silly and petty things slide.
So do not be worked out by not so clever comments, dont even respond to such, otherwise we wont see the difference. We love people, you will get to know when you really know south africa qnd the real SA is country side thats where you get to know how certain tribes behave, zulus xhosas sothos pedis xitsongas, etc its then you will know how south africans talk.
So bhuti chill, certain comments you dont even have to address, just move forward, maybe the person was really expecting you to be worked out, he is probably not even watching, so you have worked yourself up for nothing. Don't! You better than that

  7. Greetings and salutations Mr El Malik…my brother, my brother, my brother you took the bait, hook line and sinker. It's quite ironic that in the beginning of your video, you saw and experienced it yourself with the old man. As beautiful, warm, kind and as welcoming as the majority of South Africans are because of a life philosophy called ubuntu, it's important to know that whether you're African American, Jamaican, Congolese, Angolan or Columbian, South Africa is no different than any other country in the world. South Africa has its fair share of haters that are bitter, miserable, ignorant, misguided and jealous, commonly known as buckets in a crab. South Africa is going through tough and uncertain economic times and as you know, crabs are the first to turn on each in difficult and strenuous times. My point being, we are all children of the light, wether thats Jah, God or Allah or whatever name best suits you best, try and stay in the light. You and your wife are blessed, you live in a country that's blessed surrounded by people that are blessed…do NOT let 1/2 negative or questionable comments drag you down and make you loose focus on living your best life in SA. South Africans are on a mission to build South Africa and we appreciate and welcome people from all races, backgrounds and ethnicities who genuinely and sincerely want to create and build a beautiful, fruitful and peaceful life for all South Africans and those who live in it. Again, i will repeat…do not drink the cool aid and take the bait. Stay positive, humble and keep those hilarious jokes coming and keep doing what you're doing like you're doing it for TV!…I mean Youtube.

Heita -da my ma se kind!

  8. I gotta disagree with you on this one , yes the majority of Black South Africans live in the townships , but lets not act like there aren't any black south africans living in the burbs in fact the number increases each year so you saying gentrification isn't happening is a blatant lie now you making it seem like there's only white people living in the surburbs

  9. When development leaves you behind, then you scream gentrification. Growth is good for all of us, if you cant catch up tag close behind. We welcome all those who come to invest in this country. Students should focus on learning so they can free themselves. No one is coming to resume you, believe me and even worse, you cant stop growth, it’s a phenomenon of nature.

  10. Our people here in South Africa fail to confront the true enemy. The ones keeping us poor with the systems they put in place after apartheid(new form of apartheid) those in control of the economy. We need to deal with real issues.

  11. How hurtful and embarrassing! Whoever that is, is an instigator.. and probably isnt one of us. I smell jealousy and/or the fear of us coming together. Gentrification isnt a word on Black South African lips, so im kind of looking at "Johan" sideways!

  12. Mr Asad I would like to know, which one of my fellow South Africans my made you wanna defend black Americans like this in South Africa. Did someone accuse you of something? If that is so, that is crazy, its a few stupid people, it's nothing to worry about Mr Asad, you don't have to talk like this, black Americans are welcome here.

  13. Those people who said that are not south africans ……. don't want to continue with this topic because we will be called XENOPHOBIC……. PEOPLE WHO SAID THAT ARS NOT SOUTH AFRICANS ……THEY MIGHT EVEN UNDOCUMENTED IMMIGRANTS FROM NEORBOURING COUNTRIES

  14. Only about 3000 people…A drop in an ocean to achieve gentrification. Crazy and very devisive individual if I must say. Family guy are more than welcome in South Africa.

  15. It's South Africans that are too lazy to work and prefer living of welfare that would make comments like that. Whatever happened to
    " welcome home brother"

  16. Cape Town is the most backward city we have in SA,the most classist and racist we have in SA. There is an Anti black narrative going on there, any black progress made is looked down on. We need to change that more Diasporans need to move and buy property there

  17. Keep it up Brother and teach us the prons and cons of proprty sales. One who said those words is not a South
African but It is those illegal immigrats from other African countries. We tried to deport them but they still kept coming back. Dr all I can say is BAM BAM BAM BAM as they are stil will coming back.

  18. Don't mind them, my brother , South Africans we 🇿🇦🇿🇦love ❤️ black Americans so much, who ever said that his madness crazy and he has a spirit of jealous 😈 it's Evil person, is very very stupid man shame on him, and he should be shame of himself,

  19. I liked that analogy at the end, about "Truth" taking a swim and leaving his clothes outside, only for "Lie" to steal them.

South africans are very friendly people and we welcome and embrace a lot of our brothers from different countries, just a few that will spread negative sentiments about our brothers and sisters coming to settle in our country.

  20. We share the same surname with this brother, but I don't agree with that. I would like more Black-African American to buy more property and invest in South Africa. There is a very small percentage of black African Americans who are living in South Africa, and we need more of you to come live here. The other race invests in this country in numbers, but we never complain. We need to let go that spirit of jealousy amongst our self-black people. The colonisers have been using and still using the divide and conquer rule & we can't afford to allow that in our race. By the way the Bantu people of South Africa also come from West Africa, so we can't fight amongst ourselves because we are brothers and sisters.

  21. Great to see y brother & my sister in this video. Be rest assured that majority of South AFRICANS love & accept African Americans moving into SA and buying homes in whatever place they choose to buy from. SA is still a very young & delicate country which is still trying to find its way. There are some people even some of them outsiders who are jealous of African American coming in their great numbers in SA. African Americans raised us & nurtured us During apartheid as we looked to them as source of inspiration during those hard days. Apartheid government isolated black South Africans from the rest of the continent of africa & exposed us to the West especially USA. African Americans made a great name about themselves during Apartheid times of hardships. We regarded Your freedom fighters as our own. SO MY BROTHER DON’T BE MOVED BY THE SOCIAL MEDIA GIMMICKS CS & LIES. African Americans are special to us & are welcome in our country to live anywhere they choose without fear. Some of our African brothers & sister fromm the continent envy South Africa with some of them being jealous of SA and actually destroying this country’s infrastructure & young children with drugs, prostitution, sale of expired fake foods etc. we would rather have our African American brothers buying these houses than other races that have been & still flocking into this country in greater numbers. Property increases/decreases etc depend on economic supply & demand phenomenon which is ongoing & happening around the world all the times. It’s very unfortunate & very sad that others are accusing African Americans regarding inflation & property prices increase. African Americans have their legal right to move into this country, live here, buy homes etc, enjoy SA as theirs just like all of us. South Africa is a constitutionally democracy which upholds the rule of law & nobody has a right to interfere with anyone living in this country. SO,PLEASE MY BROTHER ENJOY SA & PURCHASE WHATEVER YOU LIKE, THIS I YOUR HOME. WE ARE ONE & THE SAME PEOPLE & WE BELONG TOGETHER UNITED AS AFRICAN AFRICANS & SOUTH AFRICANS INDEFINITELY.

  22. Hi Dr Assad. Those who say it's gentrification are jelouse of what you had achieved in your whole life. Others did not wanna go to school. You are a Dr in qualification which they failed to achieve even though South Africa has a free education.

You are not alone. I too was attacked even though I am born and bred here. Don worry Doc we are behind every African American who came to live or wanna live in S.A.. We love y"all our our brothers and sisters in diaspora. At long last we were able to have you in the mist of our sunny South Africa. Keep on teaching the uneducated Doc. I will always follow your channel. Keep well.
