  1. She is correct they are not black and we are not either. Its no such thing black Americans. Nationality is the order of the day. Just like around the world. Yes dog is dog, but we not addressing dogs by color. We are all humans King, but address where we from not by color. Black and White is just an status

  2. when you grow up identified by a culture is difficult to see races as in the past Italian wouldn't be considered white and today they are and also today the rap ganster afroamerican culture don't help even the African culture labeled of being poor and so on, so, is more comfortable being identified with your culture when even white Dominicans don't see themselves as white but Dominicans, I'm being honest 100%

  3. They really are Dom Reps, not Dominicans. Dominica is a small anglophone Caribbean Island. The Dominican Republic is a large Spanish speaking country sharing half the island of Hispaniola.

  4. From what I understand the lighter skin Dominicans don't even want the darker skin Dominicans there. Truest me lady, we not trying to force you to be black. Just don't cry black when you think it can benefit you

  5. @AfricanDiasporaNews, I watched you interview the Domincan sista, @NorberisR and she already clearly and concisely explained to you and your viewers this concept of some folks being Dominican without self-identifying as a "Black" person and how for most, this isn't a rejection of African heritage. Why are we still getting folks hyped up about this?

  6. I'm Somali I'm African and Black but not African American. When reparations are paid in USA i am not eligible neither is President Obama. We are all African Black globally and we hate ourselves due to trauma of white supremacy.

Just came from doctor and filled out form and Caucasian and African American were options. They should have had Caucasian and African but i think it upsets anlot of Black folk to identify strictly as African yet whites have no issues being Caucasian. I have heard "I aint no African!" my whole life and caled African booty scratcher sometimes they didn't believe i am African due to hair. Ignorance, self hate and confusion is ALL white supremacy fault, i have no problem blaming white man

  7. So if Dominicans refused to identify as black so don’t copy our culture stop saying the n word don’t copy nothing we do stop wearing chains and stuff because that’s a black culture

  8. This is soooooo damn SAD, it's ridiculous ! ! Dominicans suffer from severe INFERIORITY COMPLEX, it's terrible. They want to be so much like their oppressors, wven though they'll NEVER BE ACCEPTED. And, their brainwash is DEEP. Facts though, if you DON'T know who you are, you're bound to CLAIM someone else's identity as yours. "An Eagle that's raised by chickens will eventually CLAIM the identity of a CHICKEN and act like chickens." It should be a badge of HONOR for them to claim BLACKNESS, but the self hatred from brainwashing in their hearts has ROBBED them of their lineage and true IDENTITY. Nuff said

  9. In terms of global capital markets, international trade, literacy rates, educational systems, how would international scholars compare South Africa to the Dominican Republic? Is not even close. What are the top (3) richest countries in the Caribbean in terms of international metrics? The Domincan Republic is not even close to the top (5) Caribbean nations. Why are they living in America, if the Dominican Republic is a global economic powerhouse?

  10. Thats disappointing because Dominican women are some the most exotic women on the planet. Do in large part to their African genetics(booty) and degrees 0f melanin hues mixed with indigenous indian and European Spainard and French. But its definitely the MELANIN that makes them exotic lookong.

  11. Ummmmmm….. black is a race. Dominican is a nationality…… anyone born in the domincan Republic is domincan….. some are black, some arnt…. if people would learn the difference between race, ethnicity and nationality, maybe there stupid discussions wouldn't have to happen.

  12. Dominican Republic is just the country you’re from, if you have dark skin most likely you’re black. There is even Asian peoples that live in the Dominican Republic.
