Elon Musk MALFUNCTIONS! Can't Handle Confrontation! (w/ Don Lemon) | Bulwark Podcast

Elon Musk, for all his keyboard courage, couldn’t handle Don Lemon’s Q and A, but then sicced his Twitter minions on the ex-CNN host after their interview. Plus, a surprising take on Tucker—and a shout-out to Rachel Maddow and other MSNBC anchors speaking out against the Ronna McDaniel hire. Lemon joins Tim Miller.

  1. Looks like Musk turned trump some kinda favour with X platform allowing maga and pro russkiy bots to flourish for 6 months. I honestly do not see much connection between trump and musk. trump is against electric cars and other stuff which musk is into

  2. In my opinion, good journalism shouldn't be confrontational. It should inform the audience and presume they have the intelligence to draw their own conclusions.

A debate isn't confrontational either. It's an exchange of opinions on a given subject based on facts. In an academic setting, a debate often starts with a vote for each side, and the winner of the debate is judged to be the person whose point of view gains the most votes at the end.

An interrogation is confrontational. An argument is confrontational. Cross-examination in a court case is confrontational. Donald Trump is confrontational.

Let me be very clear at the outset : I don't agree with Musk on all issues. Yet, I was apalled by Lemon's conduct when he interviewed Musk. I can accept the tactics of asking the same question twice to see if the person gives a consistent answer, but twice is a limit in an interview.

If Lemon were a better journalist, he would have engaged Musk in a debate about what level of content moderation is appropriate. When Lemon pressed him about offensive content, Musk said very clearly that if a tweet is illegal, it's removed. Simple and easy to understand for all. Lemon wasn't happy, so he raised the issue of child pornography/pædophilia, which is clearly illegal as well as offensive and, according to Musk, would be removed.

There's hard science to support the fact that there's more genetic diversity in an African village than in the city of Beijing. I apologise if that statement offends anyone, but I believe it to be true. It's supported by linguistic studies that show the farther we travel from the African heartland, the 《simpler》 language becomes. That doesn't mean I'm suggesting that the farther one travels from Africa, the stupider and more in-bred humans become, so don't presume to put words in my mouth, please. I wouldn't call the aliens in 《District 9》prawns. They managed to make it to Johannesbourg from their home planet, which is more than we humans can do.

Offensive speech can and should be dealt with intelligently, respectfully, and in a constructive manner. Instead, Lemon behaved like a Trump supporter during his interview with Musk. He's no better than Tucker Carlson – he just appeals to a different market segment. I wasn't impressed.

So now Don Lemon is playing the victim, just like Donald Trump. I have no empathy for him.

  3. I don’t think Tucker is genuine he seems to be playing a caricature an interview with him will never be on an equal footing so no honesty will come out of any interviews

  4. The problem with the Baldwin/Buckley conversations is this: Both were smart, well-educated, and sincere in beliefs that seemed logical if not agreeable. I can see Lemon as Baldwin, but Carlson as Buckley? No way on earth. Carlson is an undereducated hate-filled zealot. Nope. Can't work.

  5. I loved Tim’s idea to interview Maga AI 😂😂
I would listen that interview and recommend to all other actual maga people
I truly believe if they could hear what the people they vote for actually believe and will do most of them would wake up and leave that cult

  6. Musk could very likely decide who wins a future war. His allowance for satellite access and money could prove vital in present and future conflicts. He's already proved his megalomania tendencies with how he fired people, doesn't allow for any dissent, ect.. The guy could literally buy a country and become its dictator.
    Just sayin.

  7. Lol I suggest people watch the full interview.

Regarding shadow banning, all the algorithms are open source, so it is actually possible to see if code had been implemented to give certain people less reach.

But yeah rather than argue here just watch the full thing its not how its described here at all imo.

  8. Elon is gunning to create a platform out of Twitter, now X, that will be the one app to rule them all, AND THAT ULTIMATELY MEANS E-VOTING, HENCE X MARKS THE CHOICE!!!!

  9. "Rather than see conservative Christians who support Trump as peculiarly and holistically religious, it might make more sense to see them as political actors making strategic choices to use secular political institutions to their advantage. "

  10. I watched RW ch's who covered the Lemon/Musk interview. The vast VAST majority of the commenters said things like
"This isnt an interview, this is a character assassination"
"😂😂😂 Elon Musk DESTROYED Don Lemon".
"I cant believe Lemon thought he could take on Musk'
They mentally & emotionally process things very differently.
I just kept in mind that, not ALL, but the majority of commenters are troubled children/teens (chronological age is irrelevant).

  11. Lemon just does not sound that smart. Not that knowledgeable about history or the world. His night time show was flawed because he just did not know what he did not know. He was at times smug, naive and really wrong on a lot of topics. When he is well versed on a subject and presents news on it he is pretty good.
