I am watching your video a year later (October 2024). What I like about your presentation and what I would encourage other visitors to do, is to go beyond the cities. We have many people living in Townships and rural areas. Over there, one will experience a true South African culture.
Good presentation
In my many years on this country, I've never seen soup made of potatoes, or potatoes in rice. Generally, potatoes can, however, be added in stews, mashed, or fried.
U are beautiful with good ENGLISH
We also use the button ones to flush the ones with handles is a old system
You went to a rural part of Kwa Zulu Natal and you basing all your SA shocks on that
Donโt forget South Africa donโt celebrate witchcraft like Nigerians
Yes, nicely said ,you only meet Zulu in South Africa?
Did you just say potatoes are a cultural shock
No ways
Bullshit ๐
How are you
I went overseas and driving on the other side was not a cultural shock because I read a lot and I expected this.
that flushing button is mostly found at old buildings however, old flashing system i think it's better than the new flushing system…its more durable and reliable for public spaces
You are real village girl with village mentallity!
Short dressess are not part of our culture mam. The length of the dress is determined by the strictness of the school and or the circumstances of students. In areas where people don't have a lot of money you may find they can't afford a new dress every year as the girl grows. In other circumstances the students try be fashionable and make their dressess short and end up being sent home by the school for promoting nonsense. Other schools the teachers will undo the seams with scissors to make the dress long as punishment.
What strange about South African cows ๐๐ฎ is that even during the night ๐ times you will see them roaming the waste area or street chowing pickN pay plastics.
Wena your re so full of energy. South African in the making. I wonder what are they saying in DRC
I think we must start reporting these fake travellers who are obsessed with our country or something. Your English accent so annoying by the way ๐ฎ
Lol, I don't understand why a toilet flush button would surprise you. ๐ Anyway thanks for a nice video
You need to do research before making videos this was cringe. Very uninformed
I have no words๐๐๐
These "cultural shocks" are trivial. There are bigger differences when it comes to politics and peoples outlook.
You are beautiful ๐น
๐ ankr wena you always eat fish us here in south Africa we eat cow meat the whole South Africans stop saying zulus we are the same here in south Africa our cultural food almost the same
Hey banna hey banna so driving car on a different side is now a cultural shock?
Cows in Southern Africa is wealth/business, not just traditional nowadays…
nice video โคโคโค๐
"Everybody has a cow"๐๐
Ur experience of South Africa is a lil limited different and ignorant….think u need to come back and have a broader experience
You are very misinformed. Please donโt ever come back .
there are many countries that drive like South Africa
pls do some more research about black South Africans and cows
We use the UK road system… same with India, Australia and most of the former colonies(commonwealth) of the UK
We make our own cars, if you want to import a car you will have to pay tax equivalent the current value of that particular model, this is designed to discourage citizens from importing & support our economy by buying South African produced goods
As a visitor to South Africa, surely someone must have informed you that almost all over the world every country has it's own unique ways of living, dining and travel. As much as you found it strange here, so too do we experience similar experiences in other countries we travel to. It's a case of adapt for your stay and revert to normal back home.
The Cameroonian just made me subscribe becauseeee my Chรจre compatriote ๐๐๐๐๐๐จ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฒ
Everyone has a cow, really?
Ma'am every cultural group has cows. Where did you travel to in SA?

The toilet thing haven't seen in it over a decade. I feel you learnt about only one Province, the Zulus. There are wealthier Provinces. We have 9 Provinces in total. Visit again โค
Journey with Jabi, please do a thorough research before posting because some of the info you just said is not true.
Nothing cultural about potatoes.
COWSSS๐๐๐๐๐
We drive on the left because we don't copy everything americans do. We are creative and independent in thinking.
