The Baby Stealers: A Mother's Story – BBC Africa Eye documentary

In November 2020, #BBCAfricaEye released an investigation into child trafficking that sent shockwaves throughout Kenya. Many of the children featured in the film were stolen. But others were willingly sold by their own mothers, often for tiny sums. This is the story of one mother and her baby, trapped between poverty and the child traffickers….

  1. A big number of children are born out of wedlock in Kenya especially in slums like Kebira, one of the biggest slums in the world. Most of these children don’t have a father

  2. Did they give Klanis some money from the government adoption center? I dont understand especially since she is now doing well. It seems she got some assistance for giving up her baby from the adoption center.

  3. When you said to her "you did the right thing" and I saw her grin,, I cried then,, tears are streaming down my face,, she needed to hear that and you are beautiful for saying so,, it's the sad truth😔😥✨✨✨🎀🌙

  4. She put the child's safety before money in her pocket she is already a great mother😥 I sensed her unease back at the baby selling clinic and I understand now she was afraid for her baby,, she can at least,, rest easy now,,😊✨🎀

  5. Clarice does not want to give up her child a blind man can see that !! These people are sik
And that new mother needs help and support
She can do it she can be a loving mother.. she is being fed too much negativity 😤😤😤

  6. Is the dad apart of the ring too? Maybe he should be found and investigated as well. Because how did Mary know how to find her? Ijs. Does the dad go around impregnating girls for a living and that is how Mary happens to find them? I'm not saying it is all his fault or the desperate mother, ijs maybe he knows more about the organization.

  7. The nation is the parent of it's people.
The nation that cares not for it's people…..it's not a nation.
This documentary did not tell us who buys the children?
What happens to them and why there is no government support for mothers in this situation?

  8. I would love to tell you The Truth from The Holy Bible about what is going on. However, I politely encourage you to read it for yourselves. By The Way, check out Truthunedited and Stephan Darby's sermons to get a deeper understanding for The Life. May Yah bless you and HALLELUYAH!

  9. I would adopt a child from Mary so one less would be trafficked. Mary is helping these girls through their birth. Don’t put blame on Mary!!!

  10. This happened to me 30 years ago some place in kiambu….To my adopted mom I curse you to my real mom who was told i died and i was sold by force to a woman who could not give birth even her husband left..nkt..fck society

  11. This seems like, from the last investigation that this is more about poor shaming these women that have been abandoned by their partners.

Where are the men in all this, apart from the ones who are trying to sell the babies??

Why not also address the sex trafficking that goes on that result in this situation.

Why are boys worth more than girls?

    Why are children being "sacrificed"?

Why is there also sense of De Ja Vous rn across many countries? "oh look over there!"

It's poor shaming and exploiting a world, which no gov cares about.

If they did, they would have controlled the HIV outbreak, Bird flu, swine flu and covid. But no it means more funds to the pharm and global economy. The rich will always survive, even when they let off their nuclear weapons.
