i still cant believe i walked these streets.i used to tell myself that i will never walk this area, but today i found myself right there on this wrong turn in Johannesburg South Africa
it was an adventure being here. To be honest, i wasnt away that this happens here.

Just to think that, at that very place where the video is at 5:25, a bit further down to the left, on Tuesday 31 January at around 6pm, I could have been lying there dead on that pavement. Had it not been for the mercy of God Almighty, Jesus Christ, I would have been stabbed to death most probably. I was crossing the road too by that corner, where the video is at at 8:05, I was going downwards, not upwards just as the content creator did. Cause I can see that he missed the real wrong turn there, and took the right turn instead, good for him. So as I was walking down, with a backpack on my back, I see these two guys behind me, they seemed to be like any other pedestrians on the road, so I thought. They crossed the road to the other side, the other one was saying goodbye to his friend, and he began to run down the street. All of a sudden the one left behind quickly walked in front of me and suddenly stopped and produced a knife. He shouted at me , and made some profanities, claiming that he will be stab me if I make a move. Upon realising that I am being robbed, I quickly took off my backpack and dropped it on the floor, and tried to make a run for it. As I wanted to run on to the other side of the guy wielding a knife, I saw some of his accomplices trying to block me and grab me, I then faced the other direction behind me, I saw more of his accomplices running towards me saying "Um'bambe, u'mbambe"!. Realising that I was now being cornered, I just found myself running back to that guy with a knife, he tried to grab me, but he failed, and I managed to pass him. To my shock, there were many of these guys, say about plus 10. I just had no idea how ,they all appeared from nowhere in a short space of time. By then I managed to escape them, yet one of them stayed hot in my heels, but I outran him. I just could not believe, what had just happened, I was trembling and in shock. Just to think that on the morning of 24th December, the very same thing happened to me, and again I managed to escape leaving my backpack. I had not gotten over the first ordeal, then this happens again, most people dont come out of these robberies unharmed or killed. I was told of some guy who was robbed, stabbed and killed around December time, during that same week I was robbed.Believe me if I had the money and privilleges to leave South Africa, I would have boarded the evening to a peaceful island, that same evening after the second attempted robbery. Just to think that such events, leaves one with a trauma is not a good thing to go through, trust me. Now you have to walk the streets of Jhb with fear, what kind of life, should that be, this country is heaven for crimnals and hell for law abiding citizens, thats just what it is now. I would advice anyone not to go to those very streets that the content creator was walking on, those are really crime ridden spots, stay away from them, especially at night time. Be all safe out there and take all necessary precautions. As for me I am glad that God showed me his great mercy and love, I would not be writing this today, but would have been lying in a morgue, imagine having kids that are still depending on you to raise them, then these scums of the earth want to just take your life and your hard earned money.
