In contemporary times, the current cadre of African leaders seems oblivious to the impermanence of their ability to traverse European landscapes in pursuit of healthcare, a stark contrast to their forebears.

    These contemporary leaders, in their cognitive inertia, delude themselves into a fallacious presumption of perpetual access to European medical sanctuaries. Unbeknownst to them, the inexorable grip of maladies such as COVID-induced Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS), hemorrhagic throat malignancies, or pulmonary embolisms may unveil the ephemeral nature of their presumed privilege. Their accumulated wealth, ill-gotten and stowed away in foreign domains, would prove inconsequential when confronted with the exigencies of their own deteriorating health.
