I'm a Swedish-American, and my Nigerian wife may not be my trophy, but she sure is my soulmate and prize. We met online and have been together 10 years and have a toddler together. I'm a firm believer that white women here in the US literally don't care that I'm a "passport Joe". However, my wife and I occasionally get some not-so-happy stares from black women and men. My wife tells me that the women are envious and the men are like, "You took one of our good ones!" Funny thing about that is that no one would marry her (or employ her) in Nigeria due to a slight cosmetic defect from birth. As soon as she landed in the US, I scheduled the surgery to have it corrected.

The interracial divorce rates quoted is a misleading truth. The number of BM/WW couples far and away exceeds the number of WM/BW couples. So the divorce rates aren't really comparable.
For example, if I told you that there are three times as many Chevys that break down than Lamborghinis, you'd think the Lambo was a more reliable car.

I'm Hispanic and the only female I truly fell in love with was a black female, I had given up a long time ago looking for my other half but then one day I met her, she was in her 20's, beautiful, petite, younger than me, she was riding a longboard(it's like a skateboard)it was love at first site, I sparked a conversation with her because I also ride a longboard, turns out she had almost everything in common with me, her interest, where she rides and hangs out, the wide variety of music she listens too from Frank Sinatra to Metallica, we got to know each other very well and she even showed me pictures of her by herself hanging out at all the areas I use to hang around, she was a drifter like I was, talking to her was like talking about myself, I even told her that she was basically me but female, I loved talking to her and she seemed to look forward to talking to me, it's like we were meant to be but when I asked her out she never gave me a straight answer, I still enjoyed talking to her because of everything we had in common, I learned more about her, I learned that she was only attracted to black men that were at lease 6ft tall but not the gangsta hood type, I knew then that even we had everything in common that she would never want to date me because I was a short Hispanic, she broke my heart and I slowly stop talking to her, what didn't make sense was that she would get upset when I talked to other females that I had no romantic interest in, I knew this because we had some of the same friends and they told me, I confronted her about it and she didn't deny it, I ask her what am I supposed to do, you made it clear that you were not interested in me that way and I told her don't worry because I will never be interested in another girl after her because every girl broke my heart and this is why I had stopped searching a long time ago before she walked into my life. I got over all the women in my life and she was the hardest one to get over because she felt like my soulmate but now I would rather stay single and happy.
Hopefully more white/ non-black men marry them so they can stay out of black men business, they already have 2 million more biracial children than black men

As a white man let me say why I am attracted to black women. Black women are confident and powerful, and they appreciate a man who is good to them. They also don't have unrealistic expectations which allows a man to be himself. Other cultures try to mold a man into what they want a man to be.

We’ve been married 16 years after only knowing each other for just a few months. Neither of our families thought it would last but it did and will continue. We met online playing modern warfare. It wasn’t even about appearances. She was well spoken and down to earth and we just hit it off. We’ve had our moments but always listened to one another and made compromises. I love her to death and would die for her in an instant. She saved me and showed me that life is worth living.

I don't think it's about trophies. I think white guys see something they are not accustomed to and they are attracted to a new experience. If she happens to be easy to get along with, and supportive, they will make the relationship more serious and commit, because that's what we do when we feel content.
I think you miss this point completely. While I have never considered having an affair with a black woman (I'm married and I am true to my family), you have to disregard the crap you see on TV and the movies. Men actually do want a woman who is loyal, confident, well-spoken using standard english, doesn't sound like she's from the ghetto (I don't care if that offends you), and doesn't want to act like she's from the ghetto.
