The last style they ate is called “Tleess” 😢 I’ve tried my great granny’s, grandma’s and moms and I swear all taste exactly the same if you ever in Ethio avoid fancy places and go for butcher shops that look like about to fall down you won’t regret it for the fraction of the price or could even be same price as high end restaurants

They add spices, butter to make it raw meat, smell better and taste good.
Plus the spices help with digest.

Been eating kitfo and tibs for 17 years now… Always the only Asian in the Ethiopian restaurant. And they always ask me how I want my kitfo cooked… Does any Ethiopian person eat kitfo other than raw?
Kitfo (when well made) is literally one of my favorite dishes of all time…
