Honestly, In N Out is sort of ridiculous for caring so hard about a burger place with two locations in a state far away from any state they have opened in. Lots of burgers out there with special sauces. Lots of kitchy burger places with red and white decor. And not as much now, but burger places in the 50s all seemed to have these paper hats. Like I see it, but I also don't see it.
You should try to go to Watsonburger in Denison, TX. I swear its a Whataburger knockoff. I've never been, but driving by one I was so confused because it looks like it should say Whataburger. š

There's a knockoff In-N-Out in the town I grew up in, they actually couldn't even keep their original name because In-N-Out decided it was somehow too similar. Anyway, said restaurant ironically destroys In-N-Out. While I do like In-N-Out, I'd have to agree with the people who've claimed In-N-Out is overrated (saying that as a native Californian too).
