  1. OK let's get somethings sorted out right of the bat, kilimanjaro is a extinct volcano, about 3 million years old, it's not a mountain, you do not climb this hill, you gently walk all the way up, no training is required or experience, remember it's just a big hill, now if you walk to fast you will not get to the top you will pass out and be carried back down in a big bag thing, looking a right plonker, so slow down, equipment is just some shorts, good boots sunglasses, some warm stuff and a smile, it's just a big hill lol

  2. Alex, do you recommend a go pro on Kili which is so much lighter? I'm going soon and puzzling over how to not break the camera (and my neck) when rock scrambling…. any tips??

  3. رائع التصوير والأداء,,, هناك 7 طرق،،، ولكن لطفاً ماهو اسم الطريق الذي سلكته إلى القمة ؟؟ لكوني لاأعرف الأنكليزيه جيدا
    شكرا لكم.

  4. Thank you for this beautifull video. What is the reason that they break up the tents every day and carry them? Why don't they leave the tents in each camp as there are climbers every day?

  5. The Western Breach is no joke & rainy season dose't mean rainy. I went in April the so call rainy season & it rain 1 time but it was cold but it's always cold on Killi. I only saw 5 hikers & that was at the peak. I was the only hiker on the Western Breach in April.

  6. Loved this. I am in the planning stage to taking on Kilimanjaro. Could you please share the camera equipment you packed to carry up the mountain? Amazing work. Thank you!

  7. I love this video! Come back to it frequently for its abundance, What an experience! id rather climb this mountain than everest, id visit the base of everest tho. with the african culture and the rainforest its snowy peak a beautiful combination cant believe its real and we live in a time where you can travel there.. what a time to be alive God bless

  8. Hi I want to climb mt killamanjaro but also don't want to miss out on the opportunity to get close to the 🧊 cap. Did you ask to get close to the ice cap? Because it's something that I don't want to miss out on when booking the hike tour. Thank you. Love your videos

  9. You do not have to go up the Western Breach way. You can summit from the south side with the final camp at Barafu. The Breach was closed for many years as being too dangerous.

  10. Really enjoyed watching this very interesting Vlog my friend … loved your artistic shots and all the postproduction.
Being a Vlogger myself I know what all this takes, and hopefully Summiting Kili myself this September , made me mire aware of what we will be facing.
Well done and keep up the Good work …
Did you need any permits to fly your Drone on Kili please?

  11. I climbed Kili way back in 1985…..It looks like a very different experience these days. Of course the one thing that doesn’t change is the actual walking…No way around that!

The sheer number of tourists and porters was surprising to see. We only had a handful of climbers and far fewer porters, plus we climbed it in three days, leaving the lodge at the base of the final climb to the peak at midnight to summit before dawn. No time to acclimatize as recommended in this film. Do they even have the wooden lodge structures that were there in the 80s?

  12. beautiful video. I will be climbing the Machame route in July. This really showed a whole new perspective and it was really cool to learn about the phases of the ice! I had no idea. What a once in a lifetime experience

  13. Really beautiful video – thank you for sharing. Very impressive. I would love to do it even though I don’t have many skills but I believe once you decide, you can do it. I am a bit afraid of altitude sickness and oxygen part 🥶

  14. This is such a great video!! How did your hair stay looking so good throughout?! Would love to know what company you used to climb the mountain. There are so many options online and it's quite overwhelming.

  15. Thank you so much for sharing this amazing documentary of such high quality production. Your spirit, narration, knowledge was captivating, the best Kili climbing video I have seen, I am more motivated than ever to head to Kilimanjaro.

  16. Hello Alexander 😊 very nice pictures. Will climb the mountain this year. May we use parts of your drone recordings in our video with a reference to you and your name? LG David
