I visited Eritrea wiith my father in April of 2022. Stayed at Sunshine too, definitely one of the better hotels in the city. Albergo Italia isnt bad either. Stayed a few nights in my uncles village which is about 40 min on the highway to Keren from Asmara. Massawa was beautiful too. hotter than hell, but turquoise water is always nice. Glad you enjoyed your stay

At least this part of Asmara has just the right amount of cars and passers-by, on those nice, not too American (wide), not to Italian (narrow) streets and sidewalks.
