Bro I live in EGYPT ALEXANDRIA AND AS WELL I TRAVELLED TO SINAI CATARACT LAYALINA AND EL SAHEL EL SHAMALY
lol no thanks. been there. worst place ever. if you go to egypt to visit a friend, then you will enjoy your time. average egyptians are one of the nicest people. but if you go tourist places? then hell no. they will treat you like you owe them money. every single thing have to give money, even as simple as opening the van's door. they will harrass you till you give them money. if you start giving them money, others will come to join harrasing you. police won't do anything.
i don't mind paying, if in exchange for services. but harrasing people for money? treating tourists as if they owe you one? then no.
go to high class area, then you will have peaceful time. yes it's quite expensive, but you won't be harrassed.

Just a few quick tips,
– Avoid Cairo, Its over populated, polluted and full of persistent and aggressive people.
– Stay in Closed off areas Like hotels and resorts and go in groups managed by the Travel agency. to avoid the dealing with scammers, beggars and thieves.
– Don't bring any drones or professional filming gear. They will get confiscated or worse you will get arrested.
