The fact that the only thing those critical of Colman’s position can do is launch ad hominem attacks show us he is truly speaking the truth.
If the goal is undo the effects of centuries of racism and marginalization to create equity amongst the races then there is no way to do that without addressing race directly. period. pretending that race does not matter when it is already tied to so many aspects of our society will surely still result in people of specific races being underrepresented and underserved. If policy no longer includes race, minorities will ultimately get the short end of the stick and he has to know that…
Amazing how you can be attacked for having ideas that were perfectly reasonable 10-20 years ago
Certainly “ we should try to treat people without regards to race…” BUT the established powers to be, business, judicial systems, governments, media, are predominantly controlled by Anglo Saxon European descendants who perpetuate an economic system in which their race is favored. Blacks are looked at as the problem because they want parity of rights and freedoms. 😐
Yeah everyone race relations were great while Birthers were claiming that Obama was not an American or a Christian. Yeah, race relations were fantastic while they complained that Beyonce's marching band uniform was her disrespecting cops. Coleman Hughes is a fraud.
First, that's not what Dr King said. Dr King referenced his own black children. He didn't reference white people. So, first LIE. This guy is lying. He's completely misrepresenting what CRT even is. He's using a strawman argument. No one lies like Righties. They just make up history. They make up what liberals say and do. Righties just lie lie lie.
??? Do you think 🤔 Most people understand what you are saying…???? The poor or uneducated …..of any Race….might Not. get it …. just my opinion…😊
It’s like a breath of fresh air, listening to this young man who is so intelligent should give people hope.
A big reason for the worsening of race relations other than social media was the mainstream media which suddenly started talking about racism WAY more than before. All while a Black guy was the president of the USA. I think this was the ruling class's response to Occupy movement and fear of a racially united working class and their strategy was divide and conquer.
Agree with Coleman in principle, but cost is the elephant in the room. If there is an obvious cost to racial blindness, one should not be forced to be racially blind.
Finally, someone with some sense.
12, not 1000+, unarmed black people were shot by police in 2019. Fair point. Now I'd like to compare it with other races and then evaluate that proportion against the proportion of that race int he US as a whole.
The issue with Coleman's beliefs is that they're simply based on a post-Cold War-Era American idealism that even pre-dates 9/11. Racism has always been part of the lives of countless Americans–in more ways than just how strangers address or treat one another. Housing, health, employment, and education data demonstrate to us that his lived experience in Montclair, New Jersey kid is not how most young Americans of color (or however he chooses to identify himself) grew up, unfortunately.
This is how I was raised and how our country was making strides in a positive direction. This man is a genius. So happy to hear what should be common sense. Social media has destroyed our country. Thank you for your wisdom.
Coleman Hughes for President…
yep, social media and its destruction of humanity. big tech must pay and be regulated to filth
My ninth video of this young man and I’m obsessed with his thinking. He states he hates politics but I think he needs to be central into it for us clear, self thinking Americans. Coleman gives me so much hope for the future
For a century 1/2 Jefferson’s Whyte descendants denied Coleman’s Black ancestors their dignity for the known RAP# of Sally Hemings. Are they colorblind? 🧐🧐
He is a product of his forefather Jefferson RAP#ng his foremother Enslaved Child Sally Hemings. 🧐🤷🏾♀️
Thank God for young people like Coleman speaking out!
This must be Candace Owen's little bratty brother!
Looks fruity, too!
It makes sense. I don’t see why people are reacting to his book. Sunny (The View) was freaking out when he was on The View. Let me explain it in simple terms: WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS, and that is how we should treat everyone. The far right is stirring up this pot because they want a white Christian nation. The concept is wrong on so many levels. Have we lost the ability to be critical thinkers? Save our democracy. Vote blue.
Wow, this guy actually makes sense….happy he is getting more exposure….and Bill is right, 20 years ago, everyone thought what Coleman is saying was common sense.
Coleman Hughes needs to read Caste:The origins of our Discontents by Isabel Wilkerson to understand that you can't fix drunk driving(White Supremacist and Class policies) by asking victims(non-passing individuals) to pretend there are no drunk drivers BUT you also can't get caught waiting for the asteroid(racists) to hit(Black People looking for racism at every corner).Isabel Wilkerson is the best person to explain race in America, she is a non passing Black Woman, who this system was created to suppress but she navigated it.
You forgot to mention that it began with BO’s 2nd term. Once re-elected, he went full bore on racial division. I like this guy, though. He really embarrassed the broads on the View, only they still have no idea that he did.
It's always so interesting when they speak about the numbers of blacks murdered by the police. 12! That's all just 12. There shouldn't be one of any race. Cops don't always go to jail when they murder and harass either. It wasn't until we started seeing black people murdered before our eyes did we start to see cops finally paying for what they do. And the reason why racism "spiked" was, we all started talking and sharing our stories. Not amongst ourselves, but out loud for all the world to see. I do understand much of what he is saying and in some parts, I agree, but some of what he is saying is misleading and dismissive.
Next book should be how to not support Genocide by not funding foreign governments with American tax payer dollars 3rd Book should be you should censor foreign governments Bulling and propaganda kick rocks myspace aka youtube tiktok is the future stop the cap
He is articulating common sense truths and somehow he is being demonized by the race baiters like Sunny Hostin
At last, a decent perception, maybe there is hope, if enough people listen to this guy.
