When you still look pregnant after giving birth

It’s because your ✨uterus✨ hasn’t gone back down yet 😘

Obviously this is a joke and I know better since I just gave birth to my 6th kid BUT growing up I had NO idea! I thought your belly would deflate like a balloon as baby exited the body 😂. I never thought about the uterus needing time to go back down.

Of course everyone is…

  1. (Birth vlog tagged under my name in this short!) It’s because your ✨uterus✨ hasn’t gone back down yet 😘

Obviously this is a joke and I know better since I just gave birth to my 6th kid BUT growing up I had NO idea! I thought your belly would deflate like a balloon as baby exited the body 😂. I never thought about the uterus needing time to go back down.

Of course everyone is different but having a pregnant looking belly the weeks following birth is normal for most of us. So why isn’t it normalized in our society? Why do we feel the need to make it look like we didn’t just have a baby and hide any signs of postpartum? Why aren’t postpartum bellies normalized despite it being very much part of the normal process?

It’s strange really. Like we are ashamed it’s not flat despite it being completely out of our control. Just some food for thought. I am now thinking of wearing my postpartum belly more proudly in the coming days ❤️❤️

(Also for anyone who thinks I filmed this while still pregnant, you can see my husband holding the baby at the bottom right hand corner in the beginning of this video. This was also taken in the postpartum room not an L&D Room 😉)

  2. I took pictures almost every month of my postpartum body .. it’s insane watching how many months it took to go back ..
the last part I got back was my waste line took 18 months ..

  3. Has anyone else not had this exp? Im really not boasting my gma was the same way so im actually curious….ive had 3 kods and with all 3 i put my pre pregnancy jeans on to leave the hospital 2/3 times.

  4. Sometimes there's another baby in there. My grand aunt gave birth and gave birth again after 3 months. The other baby was smaller and hiding behind his big bro
Funny enough she isn't the only person in our family to have experienced this 😂

  5. How pregnant you are you are only how much how much is she he is a boy or a girl we don't know comment comment your life because because we don't know that why did you say things that is dirty four years stomach a pregnant will be a heart now

  6. Remember that most celebrities fake their pregnancies and use a surrogate and a fake pregnancy stomach that they alternate for the different trimesters. Did you actually believe they were pregnant when they bounce back 2 days later or whatever? That’s NOT natural.

  7. Trust me if you enjoy eating healthy and working out then you will always lose your baby belly! I’m on my 3rd child and I never kept a baby pudge bc I did whatever I had to do to lose it. Especially by going alkaline

  8. Idk. I've had two and bounced back almost immediately but both my babies were in the 6 pound range so I think I just got lucky. God willed it and it was probably for my husband's sake because I looked super frumpy when pregnant and it totally drove both our sex drives way down.

  9. This is so weird to me. It's not loose or deflated at all. I wonder why some women have post-pregnancy bellies like that. My stomach was flat instantly after the last push. Any ideas why some of us have flat bellies, round bellies, or even loose bellies afterward?
