I Lost my job so I flipped stuff online: Month 1
One month ago, I started to try and challenge my self seeing how much money I could make flipping my way up from free items. However only two days into the challenge, I lost my employment as actually needed to make it work to get by.

Hey man youre on yt recommend now and just started a small business in a month. You created the dream now just chase it.
Are you setting aside money from your profits for taxes?
This was really interesting to us. You have encouraged us to get some things onto eBay to see what we can do. Wish us luck, because we'd really like to be able to have a real home again. ♥
Hubby and I are 74 and 81 years old and we were forced to move into an old class A motorhome back in April (2024) because we can no longer afford to live in a building. After a couple of months of wandering rather aimlessly, we landed in southern Ontario, about 3,000 km from where we started. We "tripped upon" a little flea market in a small town and started to buy things at thrift stores that we felt we might be able to sell on. We don't put apps onto our cell phones, so everything we buy is on speculation. Apparently I have a "sense" for good stuff because what we bought should sell for quite a bit more than what we paid for it.
But it's a small town flea market and it's now winter… cold and unpleasant… and close to Christmas. People who happen through the flea market when the place is open aren't buying much. We've been talking about selling online somewhere and eBay seems to be the best place for some of what we have, while Etsy seems to be better for others. I guess we need to set up two shops then. We already have a YT channel (2craftyseniors-2) and there's a real story there too (our first video tells that). It's been quite a worrisome time for us this year.
♥Thank you for being honest and showing the reality of selling online. Wish us good luck! We need it. ♥
You are my Inspiration. Hope I can get rid of all my Stuff.
the ForeShadowing whomp hits, keep it up
One month has 30-31 days, not 90.
I inherited my mother's junk my son keeps telling me set up a table at the flea market will I already did that in the beginning and I lost my ass people are rude they always want something for nothing they don't even understand it takes forever to load your car display your junk so everybody loves it and then pack the crap back in your car and dumped it in the damn garage.. so now I'm at the point where I just take the crap to the Goodwill and drop it off.. at least over 4,000 books.. and five ginormous China hutches packed full overflowing the hell with it it's all gone
Do you advertise your ebay store in any way?
God bless and GL !!
If I learned anything from selling and buying stuff on both Ebay, Amazon, Facebook and those Chinese sites like AliExpress and Temu. Is that you should never buy or sell food products, medical products and or different body cream's, shampoo's, etc… These stuff are the worst because even if people buy them there is almost always some sort of the problem either with customer or with shipping/country regulations.
U shouldve named the vid how to live like a lower class citezen 🤣🤣🤣
Inspiring.
i hate to be that person but omg…this man is so incredibly handsome. And I love his enthusiasm and just down to earth attitude he has.

revisiting this! great content
This is real reselling.
Where do you sell
Sadly I know I have been out of work for 3 months, been back on ebay for 1 month after going thru my storage building for a first major listing haul after washing clothes & stuff and I have only sold 4 things…
Hey! We all can't wait for "part5" video! YOU inspired me to START my channel! I am having a blast & learning so much. We are all waiting for your next video sir. Cheers!
Loving it!
The realism is what I'm here for so keep being true to the process bro!
conner o'malley had a video about his clone, this feels a bit uncanny
I like to buy skid steer attachments and more recently Cam Ams, albeit a bit pricey, Ive made sure to only buy them with 1k or less miles for a price easy to move. I would rather have one sale a month with most of my bankroll instead of the ebay game, Ive done that already. Now its marketplace.
And then you get a C&D in my country because you need a business and in order to create a business you need to know that this is what you wanna do for the next year. Also taxes (and für every buck earned with this you pay a lot due to progressive tax system).
😢
keep it up man!
You and every other person from the 3rd world with an internet connection. But hey, I would do the same thing!
I have an old eBay account from early 2000s I used to occasionally sell stuff on. This video motivates me to start selling on it again. Then again i am not a big fan of eBay's and PayPal's policies that mostly go against sellers.
Damn man, with that ending of “hope this video goes well”. I’m seeing this months later and views are crushing! Super impressive to hit those sales numbers month one and your strategy and hustle appears to be strong! I’ve been selling on eBay for close to 10 years and having the know how to manage a small store has gotten me through some tougher financial times. Very relatable video.
I like the content, The editing and such is a bit too high energy for my taste, sound effects, jump cuts ect. but I maybe the minority here (gets better in later videos so nevermind ^^)
eBay farqing sucks. Their fees are stupidly unreasonable in 2024. They favour / push free shipping, thus further cutting into your profits even more. They almost always favour the buyer in disputes, and it's almost impossible to get a sale unless you pay to boost. After selling that $100 thing, you'd be lucky to end up with $30 in your pocket if the sale completes. It's absolutely garbage for the seller.
Why not dropship instead of buying stuff first to sell? With dropshipping, you don't need to pay any money out upfront, and you don't need to pay the supplier until you've been paid by your buyer.
man, you're the boss. Glad your business is working out so well for you
Saw you in my recommended and now you got me in the garage seeing dollar signs everywhere.
I stumbled across your video and I have bought and sold things on and off for many years. It was freakin’ cool watching you get started! What I always try to buy are things that I know a little or a lot about. Like motorcycles, cars, parts for both cycles and cars, farm equipment, tools etc. the more you know about things the easier they are to buy and sell. I used to scour the newly listed category regularly and then be able to jump in my truck to run and get the item because of its a good deal seems like a million other guys are on it too so speed is the key. Some examples of some quick sales were like a pressure washer that looked new but was a few years old and retailed for almost $4,000. I jumped on it for $700 and flipped it two days later for $1800. I also like finding f things that could use a lil paint and cleaning to double my money. Like a car trailer I bought for $600 I cleaned and painted and put a new deck on it and sold it for $2000. It’s honestly one of the most fun ways I have found to earn extra money ey and meet a lot of cool people. Also, if you learn a few mechanical skills there are so many things people throw away or sell dirt cheap because they don’t know how to fix it and most shops are ridiculous with their repair costs. I can’t tell you how may free snowblowers I have fixed for cheap and made good money on. Be careful with EBay, so many rip off people there. One time I sold a radio for a 63 Impala and the guy got it and took out the parts he needed then reported the sale saying it didn’t work. They always favour the buyer. Another time I sold an RV refrigerator and the guy came in a car where he had to lay it on its side. I told him to stand it up when he got home and wIt at least a day to start it so the oil could return to the compressor. Well he tried it as soon as he got home and fried it! Of course then he demanded his money back and EBay obliged and took it immediately out of my account. I hope things are better there but kinda doubt it. Anyway, loved the video and will follow to see how you are doing
Good luck to ya
Credit to you my friend – you didn't just sit back and worry, you got up and did something. I hope you're able to make a good business out of this.
Nice work man thanks for the upload
