  1. Those taking a pop at Ed Sheeran – have you actually read his reasons why he would not have given his permission, if asked? If not, then do so. This is a pretty poor clip in this respect as everyone knows it will be a hatchet job on Sheeran, without presenting any of the other side.

  2. Why do people who created something so great years ago always convince themselves that their newest version is the "best" version. It doesn't even come close. Let's keep it real. The original 1984 version had magic, this new 2024 version (like everything 2024) is a cheap, lame knockoff.

  3. Ed should probably be very silent 😠Once trees were cut so he could have his German concert venue big enough. Yes, it was "only" park trees. But since then I can't take him seriously. As if we had not venues he could use without destroying living beings.

  4. Heartfelt – Wonderful person Bob Geldoff – he acted whilst politicians of the time just accepted suffering and today's even fuel suffering by greed. Corporate interedts, proxy wars and self serving intentions – maybe if everyone was like Mr Geldoff suffering and cruelty would be largely banished ❤

  5. Regardless of what any young person today thinks, back then Band-Aid was responsible for a shift in consciousness about poverty, and the realization that we cannot turn a blind eye to global social issues

  6. Ed Sheeran is a muppet. No more, no less. A man who thinks he can sing and likes singing about dreary things and promoting wrongness to the young, often copying great deal from other songs and lyrics. The total opposite of Bob and his gang.

  7. I would suggest that Ed Sheeran needs to get over himself. Sir Bob is being very gracious about it, but as he has so rightly said, the fact that this record and it's re-release will have saved so many lives overs the years totally negates any PC-related argument, or criticism of the record.

  8. The fact is that Band Aid was absolutely fantastic and of its time. Lets stop re releasing it. It was an original classic. Let the young people now do their own thing and make their own contributions.

  9. Ethiopia is now a powerhouse with the expansion of agricultural and manufacturing industries, which now has the fastest economic growth in sub-Saharan Africa, their Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has said he doesn't want charity, so please Bob crawl back into your hole.

  10. Beautiful story with the Ethiopian family. ''There is more happiness in giving'' said Jesus 2,000 years ago and the truth of it is seen in Band Aid and many other works worldwide.
