  1. I hate to say this but this will most likely hurt African countries and Nigeria mostly. Nevertheless, the poor continental financial aspirations have been told as such since I was a child (45+ years ago). This has to change because I've agreed with your viewpoints long before you were even born… Now, I wouldn't consider myself a Pan-Africanist but be that as it may I am a Black-American that wants Africa to win. The cannabilistic type of way we go about things within our greater black community (in Africa and throughout the diaspora with includes me) has to stop. I want Africa to win so badly I can see it, smell it, and taste our mutual success. In spite of that how do we have a successful Africa with things like this and even worse going down in our motherland. It has taken me along time to say, "America is but isn't home for me". Nonetheless, I want "Africa4African" to be our rallying cry. I am an Africa that was born and lives (never to forget was captivate) in America. Be that as it may we must pray for Paul Onwuanibe to get financially recovered and recognized. I pray he can get some other nations to help subsidized a Landmark Africa throughout the continent and diaspora.

  2. I am Nigerian and African and this is what bleeds my heart. How evil…I have lived abroad for the last 26 years. I have not seen any racist evil that can compare with the evil of my own people. They say talk about positive things. Well we celebrated the man for building this then the demons come to destroy. The hatred of this type of black people exceed the hatred that any racist can have for us. I visited Nigeria after 23 years in 2021 and i went to this place and had a wonderful time now its destroyed. My people

  3. I don't say anything but to see like this I don't know what to say about like this politics people 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱😡😡😡😡😡🤬🤬🤬🤬😈😈😈😈 I am an African mann from eritrea to see this it's only boring and broke my heart

  4. Did he build on secret Ancestral grounds that's off limits?? if that's not the case why was it demolished? Even if it was built on government property, deal could've been worked out with the buyer and the landowner! To put all that monies, time and energy into property and later watched it destroyed is heart breaking!! I can't go HARD on the government because the man is not telling what was the reason for the demolition. Anyhow its good to.know that you're still standing!! As they say tough time won't lost, only tough people!! May the ALMIGHTY continue to strenghtens you and give you a better vision in your next project!! Blessing!!
    Hi Wode!

  5. I have seen the Chinese build roads around their citizens' tiny houses ('Nail houses', I think they call them now). Just to respect, and inspire, their property rights – even when those look quite comical.

We built Abuja inland to secure our central capital city. Now, for a very exposed coastal highway; and a highway that will always be threatened by climate change, even before ever it is exploited to destroy the very economic heartlands of Nigeria by anyone who may so desire; we set a businessman back so cruelly? And his workers jobless? What will our famous demolishing "engineer" do to the even more expensive Dangote's refinery just down the same coastline? Who is the devil whispering in his ear? A progress adviser, I bet! Our real determined citizens will, ALWAYS, rise to demand a country of 'Common Sense' – no matter what these greater number of fools do. [Excellent Dangote himself is one such stars. Single handedly forcing us forward]. We left slums standing everywhere. Then, shamelessly demolish the one rare aspect of our society that attracts the entire world. Hope this guy's business ideas survive. Hope he, still, rises to spark even more wakefulness among Nigerians. We shall yet wake to real sense. To our real One Nigeria, and to the envy of all those that only wish to see us divided and fighting among ourselves. We can.

  6. Absolutely! There should have been an alternative. They need tourism and this was a great start! There are too many dishonest Politicians and Wealthy People going against the People who are willing to help the poor and improve and build the infrastructures.

  7. SO SAD! How devastating! Such beauty and benifical for the people. Jobs for the people and their Families! So sorry that all your hard work and vision had to end this way. But remember…when one door closes, another will open. As long has you have hope, and will, you will persevere! Fight on my Brother!!!

  8. This is very Sad 😭😭😭😭 for this Man indeed.Have never seen a road passing though or on the Beach any where in the world.this is enemity from fell Africans why don't you want development. Our governments are evil in Africa😢😢😢😢

  9. We'll this can only be justified if they build that road for sure.
It's good he hasn't given up, but let's all remember that grabbing road reserves and riparian land is also a corrupt and impune.

  10. I visited Landmark in Feb 2023 on my first trip to Nigeria and to the continent. It was honestly the best attraction I went to in Lagos. It was very well managed. Organized. Clean. Beautiful. It was refreshing… I was looking forward to going back and was sad when I saw they were demolishing it. 😞

  11. "For the grater good and under the principles of eminent domain" he says and that is where we should all start our comments from and not being emotional. It hurts but for the greater good. Is he going to to get paid as is done for all properties in the way of government construction, if no did he have all the government approvals before construction ? To avoid the occarance of such in the future, lets all learn from it. We can avoid this in the future

  12. This is just SAD!! Unfortunately not shocking seeing African gov'ts let outsiders have more say and control than their own countrymen. He NEEDS to rebuild in another African country. Who's to say that Nigeria won't burn him again.

  13. All this Wickedness is only Against Ndi Igbo .
Imagine how wicked heartless some people can be towards there's own Citizens ?
Before he started this Type of Project both state and federal government was officially Consulted and they did they will build suck Coastal roads from Lagos to Calabar .
In every other country of the world they have Original Maps of every cities un there country what they will build or do in some Areas .
This Particular issue is Wickedness and Jealousy against Ndi Igbo .
But God will make away from this our Igbo brother.
Hundreds of people have lost their Jobs Millions of dollars and billions of Naira have gone and that idiot called DAV UMAHI is making Noise .
BROTHER GOD WILL BE WITH YOU AND BLESS YOU MORE .

JOB LOST ALL HE HAD BUT AT THE END GOD MULTIPLE HIS BLESSINGS.

  14. "He that digs a pit will fall unto it. He that spreads a net will be caught in it." Bola Tinubu is a wicked man. Nigeria is an unjust society. Notwithstanding, God is kind and just. He rules over the affairs of men and will not neglect to execute justice. I am waiting to see the fortunes of the perpetrators of this crime. They also have investments albeit from ill-gotten wealth. They will pay with interest. There shall be no peace nor mercy for the wicked. "A throne shall not be established by wickedness."

  15. Wode Maya have to do his research before jumping into stories like this, this can land you in serious problem but believe me Nigeria govt won't hunt you. Nobody sells shore to Landmark owner, there's a law that FG government owns shore in Nigeria. The shore is destroyed not all the properties like you claimed. Ask him who sell the shore to him. You will come back to do video on that coastal road when is completed. There's no alternative, alot of infrastructures are already built on the alternative routes which are more valuable than Landmark. Landmark is popular than Lagos 😅?

  16. The African people is the same everywhere
    Can’t support our own
And can’t stand when one of our own is doing well loads of jealousy
    And this was creating jobs
And for tourism was great to
Just sad the Leaders are selfish and love seeing their own people not doing great

  17. This guy is gonna make a magnificent come-back , 3 times better than the demolished establishment of his.
One day the politician who is the brains behind this whole thing shall pay, one way or the other. Trust me.

  18. What a SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so looking forward to going back and staying at the resort; we stayed in Lekki 2. My sisters went recently and I asked my Dad to take them. That's when he told me that they destroyed it.

Who needs other ethnicities to treat us like trash when we as Africans treat ourselves like straight sh*t.

    China, the new colonizers.

  19. The producers of this is perhaps very selfish and wanting to create or generate a bad blood between landmarks investment and others as though, only landmarks was the sole business ventures affected in the demolition along the Lagos- Calabar Coastal Super Highway.

The CEO of Landmarks could not make mention of the fact that the over 50 years old of Oniru Beach, Soul Beach, Good Beach, other beaches and lots of Indigenous Villages and in some cases 1/4 of their villages are to be affected.

Landmarks have a good relationship with other investors along the shorelines up to Elegushi Beach and at least he should have mentioned a few others affected by the right of way for the Coastal Highway spanning over 20years.

Obviously, all the stakeholders along the shorelines have lost fortunes and that is the fact apart from any form of encroachment within the Federal Government right of way.

I, wish the Ghanaian producer had no specific biases against our country and because the owners of Landmarks are Igbos and to point it out that during your drone view, I saw the debris from the Oniru Beach and to the other side, some parts of Good Beach.

Please do a balancing of your story.
