Purpose of visit sounds make do. Tourist visa needs itinerary, funds in USD with 2 way tickets. Or visiting specific relatives / friends for defined time period. Even comms + pics of GF with time span of relationship.
If in US either hindu temple or Gurudwara is there for me no problem for food…
