  1. If the ADB is not owned by Africans, why is it called The African Development Bank?

It looks like the so called developed nations continue to create mechanisms to exploit African wealth for their benefits.
Africa continues to inadvertantly bolster foreign prosperity at its own expense.

Africa should create its own financial institutions for its benefits.

  2. This is no accident or coincidence, that these security agencies intervene, had connection with the finance minister,I believe that they were trying to intimidate these two bank Reps

  3. The experience of the past memory of imperialists owned finincial institution are a reminder of our inability to become masters of our own destiny, instead of pawns in the Babylonian chess games and exploitative schemes

  4. Africa should have their own banking institutions, 100% owned by african! There's be ko SHARE with internationally! 54 countries in Africa, SHAME on u all for not having your own banks! Even the ECOWAS is not fully owned by Africans!

  5. An African bank should be owned and operated by Africans and any European staff being heads of the executive body will only be a concourse for large dividends being transferred to these non-African nations treasury

  6. `This was clearly a misdirection of funds, with the money going into the pockets of high government officials who tried to intimidate the AfDB officials to stop their investigation. This should be a smoking gun to Abbi to cause him to investigate his Finance Ministry.

  7. It is really difficult to exactly pinpoint the real issue behind this dispute. But ever since the Ethiopian national crisis set in, (roughly around 2018, a lot anomalies have been taking place. We have the unusual surge in the numbers of West African visitors. Usually in their 30s. Some were caught in some kind of criminal activities. Money extortion being on the top of the list. But then there are also elements in the government structure who want to gristmill every incident to their selfish personal interest. Let us wait and see. But I hope the ADB, wouldn't try to punish Ethiopia, for the irresponsible acts of some officials. It has not been well to Ethiopia since the crumbling of the TPLF led government since 2018.
