Ghana celebrities news
In a series of fiery tweets, Ghanaian musician and entrepreneur, Criss Waddle, has lambasted the NPP for their terrible leadership and plunging the citizens into economic crisis.
In one of his tweets, Criss Waddle pointedly addressed the response of leadership to public outcry, stating:
“People begged you to fix the country; you told them to ‘fix themselves.’ Herh, we will never forget you until we die, short man Devil.”
This tweet, which garnered 162,000 views within hours, highlights his dismay at what he perceives as a dismissive attitude toward the struggles of ordinary Ghanaians.
Waddle didn’t stop there. He also accused Nana Addo’s Government of implementing a military form of leadership which prevents citizens from voicing out their concerns.
“For 8 years, we were all under your military rule. Unless a person shouted, ‘Ajei, I am hungry or hurting,’ then kpa, you arrest or cripple them. Herh, we suffered ooo.”
The musician also shed light on the suppression of dissent and the erosion of press freedom, accusing the leadership of stifling voices of opposition:
“You arrested almost everyone that spoke against your party, ensuring even journalists lost their freedom of speech. You collapsed and crippled almost every business that wasn’t owned by your allies. People cried of pure hunger, yet you kept imposing higher taxes.”
