I declare order over Nigeria, this is just too much and so many requirements for those who want to visit. Good God! I've been to many nations, and the Visa process was so easy and did not have all the steps that Nigeria requires.

must have:
1. passport,
2. print out visa application,
3. two (2) passport photos
4, letter or invitation / hotel itinerary,
5. scan data page of passport,
6. scan passport photo,
7. $160 pay online for visa or bring money order to appointment;
8. $50 for appointment money order,
9. bring bank statements
10. $40 return envelope they can use to send back my passport (optional)
I went two weeks ago and you don't need an appointment for the DC location(really Maryland). I just had to pay 80.00 cash for walk in appt. FYI the guy told me your bank statement has to show a minimum of 500.00. I agree and highly suggest that you purchase the overnight stamp. They also wanted to charge 50.00 to use their computer. There is a public library that will give you a guest pass to use their computer and there's a post office on the corner. My question, how long after the Embassy received your passport did it take for you to start moving on the tracking website?
