I remember I was so, so proud of you when you built your beautiful home. I had been watching tiny homes for a while before I saw you. It was just amazing to see the first black woman that I know of in the TH movement. I called everyone I know and told them to watch. Thank you som. Continued success
I love your show, and I will continue watching.
Just so unique and warm and…its amazing! Great work by the owner. One of the best tiny home I have seen!
Jewel thanks for sharing your beautiful inspiring home! Saw your space prior on Homeworthy. My husband is from Tulsa and you share where you got your Black Wall Street sign? Would love to order or purchase for my husband who grew up two blocks from Greenwood his family actually owned a hotel that was burned down during the 1921 massacre.
Jewel is correct in the fact that when the Tiny House community started I always felt that White People did not want to include others. Let us be honest Black people have always lived in small or tiny homes. They have used the Tiny Home movement for greed for all you have to do is look at the cost. We have to look at the many black communities that have been gentrified and now the homes are 250k and up. Imagine if all these homes would have been renovated and Black people continued to live in them.
So what she is doing needs to be replicated to the point of helping Black people to attain housing. I see some Blacks are building tiny homes but are pricing many blacks out of the market because of greed.
The idea is if you can provide affordable housing for Black people they now have money to enjoy and live in peace and have a means to saving.
This is so inspiring. I saw the trailer on TikTok and had to watch this episode. Absolutely gorgeous ❤
Love this! I thought about the song “Bag Lady” too as she was describing packing light💙
THE HOME IS BEAUTIFUL
Her home is so beautiful!! Another wonderful episode.
BOHO chic..You get to break all the rules, more is less..💯💯💯💯👍👍
Thank you. Here in Wisconsin I hit a wall early when trying to see if tiny houses could help with our unhoused. I don’t own a home myself. You have so much to offer. By you being you in a tiny house.
I saw the video of Jewel's original setup and it inspired me so much as I was designing my tiny house on foundation (it's 500 sq ft and I still call it tiny). Also her story of dealing with the builder as her badass self was inspiring. This is even better.
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT, SHE AND HER HOME ARE STUNNING 🤎🤎👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Home to me represents peace, security, and comfort. The vive has to be inviting that your welcome to be here. Apprection😅

My All Time Favorite tiny home !!
This is my culture and my style, I have seen her tiny before.
I can fully understand what she is saying. I have heard of the racism in tiny living. Where black women had to move due to safety and peace reasons. This is Not surprising, it’s just America.
I pray this will not hinder anybody from tiny home living, if you feel this is what you want to do. You just never know what Possibilities could be right around the corner. Stay encouraged people.
I have been watching Jewel Pearson probably since the first tiny house video came out about here. She epitomizes elegance, and is such a wonderful role model for black people. I grew up in Jamaica, of mixed race (though I look white), and was pretty shocked when I moved to the US (I now live in Canada) to see how black people were treated. I love Jewel's confidence and groundedness, and I absolutely loved her home. I had no idea she had a YouTube channel, but as soon as I saw her name on your channel, I was IN! I have been following the tiny house movement for 24 years, and it amazes me how far it has come, and yet how backward we are in terms of acceptance. I am glad that Jewel is a stand for tiny homes in a way that works for black people. I am so blessed to have grown up in a time and place where I didn't learn that colour should divide people. I have subscribed to your channel and look foward to seeing more!
Simily BEAUTYFUL Jewel.
I love your home. You would be a great neighbor.
Love love love your home jewel. Thank you for sharing
Your house is beautiful!!!
Wow! Gorgeous tiny home! I’m so attracted to African and Asian decor. Just lovely ❤
How do the tiny homes weather storms?
I would love to have mu home showcased on your show.
I have followed this woman's home through all of its transformations. 🎉
Very nice❤
As a brown Indigenous woman in Canada. I hear you!!!
I am 58 years old and I never felt like I had a home. I worked to pay rent to mainly shelter 6 children. My ex was not much of a provider, so my focus and drive to secure for my children. Now, they are raised and figuring their path. Now, I can revisit building that foundation for myself. I have been interested in tiny home for at least 2 years and getting closer to drawing the blueprint. I see being able to bring it to life within 3 yrs. Watching this is inspiring me to make sure I see it through.
Love this! Love her life philosophy! Going tiny truly makes you define who you are in all aspects of life. I wouldn't trade tiny "space" living for all the mansions in the world. Great interview!
Great show! Jewel's tiny house is so dope! Doesn't look cluttered. Putting tiny houses in a new light! Great questions too!
