Reviewing MKBHD’s Panels Wallpaper App (it’s bad)

Constructive criticism:
1. Remove ads. The goal should be to get as many people to enjoy the app. Nobody likes ads, and it ruins the user experience. Especially for something like an app for wallpapers.
2. Lower the price of the app. $12 a month, or $50 a year is too much for something thats as simple as a wallpaper that people can get online…

I couldn't believe he came up with such a useless app. With all the crazy and inspiring tech ideas he gets to reviews you'd think he'd draw some inspiration. Dude releases a wallpaper app. Like we don't have a million of those alr, but this one is special, it charges you a monthly fee 😂

@bharathkumar3104

In india netflix subscription is only 200rs for a month same as this app fee for 1 month. Apple music is only 99rs for month. So many free wallpaper apps im using better than this

@sirspongadoodle

I think the “constructive criticism” is not the way to go, sure to someone who is actually trying to learn and doesnt know what there doing its helpful but this is just a case of greed and no “constructive criticism” will stop him from being that way…

@jamescarballo5130

I lost all my respect to MKBHD😢

@dhruvvrm6

wall craft

@dhruvvrm6

Great explanation…deleted the app in 4 seconds

@alexnils6984

I don't get why people would ever pay for wallpaper at all. They can find some online for free or they can just take some picture (with the built-in camera of their overpriced smartphone) and use it as wallpaper

@tiagomaqz

Unsplash and Wallcraft are the best wallpaper apps in my opinion.

@JrFarren_

That one app that everyone downloads and then deletes in less than a minute

@Karthik-yy7gw

No offence but only DUMB people will buy an app for Wallpaper.

@holsteincowboy

MKBHD channel should be closed down by YT

@akshz.413

how is this short more than 6min long😮

@ashokraja6892

I'd rather use Pinterest

@bernhardsonn8996

Mkbhd Talks About the worst Products for Money and does one himself 💀

@bernhardsonn8996

Im shocked that mkbhd is doing that. Im disappointed

@AndroidDigest

That iPhone sure looks a lot more "reflective" vs a Galaxy S24 Ultra. Just saying😂

@mikechickenman

I disagree that MKBHD didn’t do anything wrong. MKBHD has complained about privacy issues in the past, and this app he released is absolutely wrong-headed with regard to privacy.

This is an app that lets you download wallpapers. Why does it need your location and identifying information? Why are they selling that information to data brokers?

Panels is a massive data grab on the part of advertisers and data brokers, and MKBHD is encouraging people to give those untrustworthy players their personal data.

I think MKBHD has indeed suffered a lapse in judgement here, and has done something which he should apologize for.

@mikechickenman

This app also collects your location and personal information, including your location. This app is a huge user data grab.

@lokopytana

Now tell me that rich people aren't out of touch.

@Kiboxxx

A person with nearly infinite money has to release an app in an incomplete state?? You can literally buy a programmer to program your app for 10 k $ or less.

@yashin4k623

Tech youtubers have been waiting for something like this to shoot for the top.

@jfscn

Don't wast your time here

@ronnieryanpc

Paying $12 a month and i change my wallpaper once or twice a year 😮

@1Love-starboss

An automation app is by far the most powerfully capable app which voice assistants and remappers are basically a part of which a human being can ever come up with most ppl will know who knows tech well so why a wallpaper app

@MegaMijit

$50 even as a one time purchase for a wallpaper app is INSANE
