Inside the hospital dealing with Sudan's famine | BBC News

One of the worst famines in decades could soon take hold in Sudan, following a year-and-a-half of civil war.

More than 150,000 people are believed to have died and millions more displaced.

Aid agencies have warned Sudan could soon experience the worst famine of anywhere in the world unless significant help arrives.

Where are the demonstrations around the world!

@찬희이-z8d

It breaks my heart to see so many people in different countries suffering from hunger, vulnerable to diseases, and losing their lives or enduring illness. It feels even more heartbreaking to see growing children struggling to survive day by day, forced to work instead of learning and growing in an environment where they can study and thrive.

Free sudan 🇸🇩

@honeybee416

Why aren't we hearing about this in usa? I literally just heard about it in a comment section on a Willie Nelson video. This is so hard to watch!

@luqmanbashir1897

So sad to see a country that was once a safe heaven for refugees from Yemen , Somalia , and Syria went into the same cycle 🔁 of war and poverty it is just heartbreaking 💔 to watch and all because of two generals who can’t put country first it is a shame it has come to this 😢even more painful when I know Somalis went through the same after the civil war in 1991 but they have not yet recovered

@wigsontop

colonization aint looking so bad now, eh!

So sad 😢

@mariannerady1137

When I was 9, we collected money for starving people in Africa. I'm 40 now, how is this still happening?
Power hungry men starting wars… let the women rule and this shit would stop

@missa2302

Civil War ???? Seriously , BBC ?? Do u hear yourself ? Since when were rebels on equal tearms with the the national army for a country ?? Do your du diligence and knock it off with th agenda. This is way too wrong.
Those rebels called RSF started the war because they wanted to be the new rulers, followinh the agenda of the countries that pay them to start this war. The country we all know that wants the Sudanese gold all to themselves.
So no its not a war or civil war or all that BS. Its an INVASION on our land. Doesn't matter who supports our army , our army's job is to fight and get our homes back. Those fu*rs invaded our homes and heck we saw videos they distributed from inside pur homes. The homes we spent our life building by slaving in our jobs. They stole all cars when most of us wre still paying loans for. Don't u dare call it a war for power. Its a freaking invasion and all of those RSF f ** need to get the hell put of our country and give back everything they stole. Unfortunately there are things they can not give back like the life of my grandma they killed or the virginity of lots of our little girls.
But u were right in "its sudanese helping sudanese" no one is helping. Including the UN. Not a single penny came from the UN and they dare tell us to stop the war as if we started it. U just want to call it civil war to say its our fault for fighting one another when those rebels are mostly not even sudanese

@toekkababy5329

They just keep breeding no matter what😂

@dorbeshmohammad3975

US should release the 8.5 billion package to sudanese people instead giving it to Netaniyahu

@grey_wind948

For over 40 years I've heard charities asking for donations to help with famines, floods, clean water…where's the money going?

Wow, much more starved than a certain other area that is in the news 24-7! Also, I don't understand how the babies look so starved yet the mothers look reasonably healthy! This is nature, 6 and 7 kids, that is what nature looks like, so r we or r they wrong?

Do a story on how sky news did a story about the disabled woman having panic attacks after bbc sent their goons to force into paying for something she doesn't want, in order to pay bbc script reading pensioners enough cash so they can put clothes over their badly aging skin

@amandad6104

💔💔

@TelscombeTerror

From one human to another, who and how dare to people think it’s okay to get pregnant and have children in the middle of a famine? Inhumane child abuse. Disgraceful.

Stop war and feed the people..

@molkakaminski

they should control their fertility

@webview4098

People give first preference on war except Hunger crisis, even in this news order😢
When we realise we need humanity for everywhere on that time we all lose our 90% of friends and family in the name of selfishness 😢

@jackmicroway4023

@ravibedia7_ishayoga

Where creator?

This is so sad. How can i donate money and clothing?

@boris8787

What kind of stupid "government" has Sudan??????

@carlosgermano8227

The world only has money for wars and not to help poor children.

@forlatagate1

Sudan is not part of Europe, they don't have the complexion for money and protection, got to be Ukraine or Israel to be treated as human

@tiboregoldberger6817

United Nations Racist Bigotry African Black Children Death Famine Polio NO UNRWA Electric Doctor Hospital Food Truck In 2023 , an estimated 6.3 million children under five died, 2.9 million of them in the WHO African Region. This is equivalent to five children under 5 years of age dying every minute. Two thirds of these deaths can be attributed to preventable causes.

@aydinl5757

Famine? But still having kids? Maybe they like to watch the kids suffer? Or else, why have children when there has been a famine for years???

@martinwyke

The usual suspects ignore this despite these people being innocent victims unlike the terrorists.

@mallarddaduck4446

There is plenty of money in African country's to sort this out!

@HenryBriskin

How sad we dont show more of this on the news. These poor sudanese need our help

😢

@Chadrick2

Gays for starving children

@G-Man-half-life

We in the western world need to stop wasting our time, money, and resources on African countries… African problems is not the worlds 🌎 problem we in the west should focus more on ourselves and just leave Africa on their own.

@mclovin8739

Why is this still happening ?

@Konradberlin

Bisan reported from Gaza for months about starvation and bombing. She never lost weight never looked ill and never died! So here's the real starvation. No one is helping them because they don't have Israel aiding them. Report honestly.

@Godloveseventheleast

Arab invasion of Africa is horrendous. The entire North Africa became white Arab only region. Africans can’t even go there. It continues to the south.

@victoriamystic351

How about stop making kids ????
