I Just Got Banned From North Korea

North Korea is the most isolated and interesting country in the world. I had the chance to visit Pyongyang for 3 nights, 4 days back in April 2017 – and shortly after I left, Americans became banned from visiting. To this day, I think that I’m one of the last dozen Americans to step foot in North Korea, and I’m glad that I’m here to tell the…

Just a little travel + life update for you: Tomorrow, I am heading to Antarctica and attempting to visit the actual, geographic South Pole (i.e. the Southernmost point of planet earth) where I will be completely offline for 8 days. It's the most ambitious trip of my life to date and I hope that I will make it there safely! Have a wonderful upcoming week and I will report back to you guys once I get back to Cape Town safely. Peace and love to you all!

  2. Hey Drew , thank you for your honest opinion on N Korea. Your videos on travelling in most part of the world is very enriching and captivating. Always supportive of you and you are certainly my top pick when comes to introduction of countries . It's an eye opener . Keep up the great work , stay safe and GOD bless ……. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

  3. 1:05 holy cow so that’s what Kim jong Un looks like when he’s angry RIP to his general that witnessed his wrath but I’m sure it’s much worse than this facial expression of anger

  4. We iranians live under a dictatorship like N.Korea . There is not any religious and political tolerance here , but we have better housing conditions and nutrition as we have oil resources . Breathing in freedom is anything else like people in north america and west europe 😊😊😊😊

  5. Here is my opinion:

In the past, we had kings and queens who were ruthless and had little regard for human rights; Louis XIV and Louis XVI are prime examples. Today, we live in a more socialized society where human rights are valued, but we cannot easily judge a country that is unwilling to embrace these changes. While it may seem horrible to us, the majority there likely fears war, and in my opinion, their leader is afraid of being attacked or dethroned if he opens the door to reform.

North Korea likely feels threatened by larger powers, and I can understand why. History shows how countries have been exploited during globalization (as in the case of India), and I believe Kim Jong-un is aware of this past. This could explain his reluctance to negotiate. I don’t believe anyone is inherently evil; every choice has its reasons.

  6. Unintentionally breaking laws ? The dude literally was briefed before his trip and knew what not to do and chose to try and steal and smuggle a propaganda poster. I understand you have to say things for shock value though.

  7. NOPE!!! he is an intolerable, disgusting blood sucking, leeching excuse of a “man” !!!
I wouldn’t be able to control my Irish temper add to that I’m a country girl and I don’t let nobody ever push me around or tell me what I can or can’t do or say cause that’s just not happening like ever!!
And really the fact is, I have zero respect for anybody of power who willingly chooses to have his own people suffer Day in and day out just so he could keep his “power“
While he has his whole country, kissing his ass, so he could just live a lavish life and never know what it is to feel hungry and not be able to get any food! He’s like the worst bully you could go to school with but like he’s also like a five-year-old having a tantrum at the same time like dude what the… ?!!! Nahhh HARD PASS!!!

  8. keep try to promote peace man. I think the more people could get together, there would be more peace. Fear is the reason countries go to war. yes there are evil people in the world.

  9. I’m Russian. And even though Russians are the only people who can go to NK like a tourist, I never wanna visit this jail. I’m so sorry for the people, who live there, and cannot do what they want, and can’t escape the North Korean border

  10. Don't tell me you're afraid to go back and if what you're saying is true considering well if you live in the states then nothing prevents somebody from posing as a visitor then finding your location and slipping a Mickey a now
