  1. Lets say you start a building a shop to be specific above a foot level and the tenant completes it as at 2012 , after the tenant has finished building she use a sum of 8900gh in finishing the building. Can the land lord increase rent every two years
    2. Can a tenant spread fee used in building over 22years??
    3. Is the tenant supposed to pay something to the landlord after??

  2. Some one is saying when some one rent your house and start misbehaving, in a act you don't not like, you can't return the rest of thier money to them to move out, is that true?

  3. This doesn’t make any sense. How can a government agency determine how much rent should be charged for a property? Do they determine hotel rates too? If an individual has built a property with their own money as a business venture, I do not think a government agency should have any right to determine how much the rent should be. Prospective tenants are not forced by landlords to rent their properties. They can decide whether the rate they are getting from a landlord is reasonable or not. In a free market economy, rates/prices are determined by market forces ie. demand and supply so why should rent be any different? What will happen if all landlords in Ghana decide not to rent out their properties to anybody? Will the government be able to house them? By all means the rights of the tenants must be protected but a government agency determining how much rent should be is ridiculous. This whole system is flawed and an avenue for more corruption. What the government should be doing is building more affordable housing that hard working Ghanaians can afford to buy.
