  1. I got the same exact mic less than a week ago, and it is not working. I have to heat it up close to the stove or with a hair dryer so it can work for 5 minutes. I can't return it because I live in the DR, so I wasted my money, and you guys cannot replace it. THIS IS GARBAGE.

  2. Why record at a slight angle when you're already using a pop filter and are 6 – 12 inches away from the mic? I've never had issues with plosives within those parameters/guidelines. Even then, if you're somehow still getting plosives, I'd recommend double checking your equipment and gain, then trying some breath control exercises before going of axis slightly possibly adding off axis color which can't be removed in post processing.
