  1. You made turning the meal so easy. Having a weak wrist certainly help with steaming, instead of banging the hell out of your pot and wrecking your burner. Love yam flour grew up with it in Jamaica 🇯đŸ‡Č Trelawny but my grandmother grate the yam in the flour make a dough and boil it. Yam dumpling.
Lovely to see men in the kitchen especially now we are globally connected and travel. Mother is not there to cook.

  2. I have been cooking swallow for years – lump free. I put the swallow in cold water with the stove on instead of heating the water up first by itself. They are several ways to skin a cat as they say. I have never had Amala before though and it is sold in London where I was born, raised and reside. How does it taste? My usual swallow is ground rice and then pounded yam. I hate garri.

  3. hi dear thanks for sharing, I just wanted to know if I can mix it with cold water before putting it on the stove, cuz whenever I tried to do stuff like this it just ends up lumpy,i haven't tried this before but I reckon is heathier than semolina so called pounded yam powder they selling here in the UK, also I really need alternative cuz I won't to remove too much wheat from my diet.
