  1. SCAM: There is no such thing as buying land in Ghana. They should say, lease in Ghana because you will never own it. There is no security for yourself nor your children. They tell you to return home then they call you immigrant. It is more like taking your money and later kick you out.

  2. I just came across this video. My question is, if a person owned a freehold land and you purchased that land, can you still have the freehold title, or is it still 50 years?

  3. You know you don't need to punctuate everything your guest says with, "mhmmm, mmmmmmm, right riiiight yeah yeah, It's annoying and just space filler. Let them speak especially when you are talking to professionals that don't need prompting! Listening and nodding is fine. It just spoils listening for me

  4. Why is it that NO ONE can own land in Ghana or Africa, but it is leased only for 50 or 99yrs? That means one's own african descendants would have to repurchase or renegotiate land ownership that they may have lived on all their lives. It seems desperately unfair because in UK when you own a property whether it is land or a house freehold, then that property can be passed on to your living relatives hence generational wealth. It is same in Jamaica too. All you need make sure that property taxes paid each year. But still that property is yours and your family to enjoy and pass on. But not so in Africa.

  5. Hi Jasmine, this video is super informative. There's a lot that goes into buying land. The lawyer did an amazing job with answering questions and breaking the information down. 🤗

  6. It sounds and looks all good on paper but you all know that what the lawyer is saying is virtually not possible. Going through all these procedures before acquiring a piece of land will take ages and lots of money. What I personally do is to lay my intention clearly in the Land Sale Agreement. It's simple by letting the Vendor know I will shoot him in the head or pay for him and his family members to be assassinated should he sell a land which doesn't belong to him. Trust me, they back off and change their mind. And never buy a land from poor people. Rich ppl have a lot to loose and they can refund your money.
