2024 Mitsubishi Triton/L200 on/off-road (inc. 0-100) review
We finally have the chance to put the new Mitsubishi Triton through its paces to figure out whether this all-new model is worth upgrading to. Paul Maric tests the 2024 Mitsubishi Triton GSR on- and off-road to see how good it is.

I could go a 2 door that you showed at the start👌
Please review Mitsubishi Pajero 2024 also
kingchampion maraton
Design wise I really like the look of the old/outgoing model
Put a roof top tent and this becomes an awesome camper
This car is unattractive like all new Mitsubishis. But the Tasman is so ugly it will cost Kia millions. Millions I tell you.
That infotainment system, is similar to the one used in Asian Market Nissan Terra/Navara 😂
Hideous like every other triton.
A lot of cheap brittle plastic on this unfortunately. Chinese brands keep looking great value for money.
Why aren’t any of these brands releasing hybrids? Would fly off the shelves
It would be fair to have at least the offroad sectuin of the review redone. Something genuinly just does not add up.
Previous version was all Mitsubishi… This version has the infamous Nissan hand in it….
I went for a test drive and found it a bit lethargic when pushed a little from 40Kmh to 80kmh. However the biggest turn off of this car is the outside looks.
Gosh did Mitsubishi have this car designed by a Grade 2 class with rulers? Just horrible in the flesh.
Oh no! Its orange 😢
Lol, look at the navara key😂
2.4 trition is weak best to go for trition diesel 6 or 3.2.did, still the best till this day. Stick with a big engine, you will never go wrong….!!!
i dont think I will be upgrading my VRX Triton in NZ, Bugger the stop start and driver warning. My triton is awesome off road, but it did take time to get use to.
yeehh what is this brother .. brother ehhh hahahahha
Ugly .. looks Cheap, unreal designed previous one was looks slighter better .. Mistu company need to hire a good car designer … just freaking do a mix in between Hilux and Ranger to bring something new … designer must have lied on his resume lol :p
I hate the grill and headlights
breaking traction control doesn't work in 2wd genius
If you can't lift a tray door don't but a ute
Always thought triton buyers were slightly 'off' individuals 😅 the butt hurt comments here prove it
Charming 😍
Its 4WD modes do not seem to be very effective and does not appear to be good on anything other than bitumen.
How is the adaptive cruise and lane keep assist? In your videos, you always make seperate section for that. This is missing in this video. I am really interested in that. I am tied between Mazda50 sp, Volkswagen Amarok style 500 and gwm cannon Alpha ultra.
Every time you complain about the offset camera man, get over it. I have driven tritons for 10 years and hitched my trailer up without an issue. You obviously don't realise the camera shows the towball so you can back it in exactly the the same as if it was central. My work ute is an LDV, and you can't even see the towball and its central. The cameras are calibrated, so seriously man, get over it. If you can't back that in and hitch a trailer, you probably shouldn't be doing it in the first place.
Hi Paul. I really think you need to update the testing process on these 4wds and use low range for the offset mogul. High range TC isn’t tailored for that kind of driving. Low range is. It will give the public a better idea how each systems works between cars.
Thanks for the honest review.
I currently have a 2016 Pajero Sport and been thinking about an update.
Bit disappointed with the offroad ability though. My current Pajero Sport is fantastic offroad.
I do a fair bit of towing with my car now. But find the engine size is not a 100% towing bigger loads. I would like to see how the new Triton goes towing.
Cheers 🍻
The last gen Triton was a mountain goat and it was priced reasonably. I really can't justify the price of 70k AUS for this new gen when it seems like a step back from the old gen for off-road use. Maybe if you want a ute for the city and some hauling, then this is not too bad?
South Africa Bakkie Australia Ute America Pick Up Truck rest of the World Pick Up the all new Mitsubishi Triton & Nissan Navara to South Africa 2025 all new Nissan Navara Australia November this year .
It's no to Mitsubishi fail climb up on rough road
i think you are confusing between esp and tc. esp is the car with skidding marks. tc is the car with the arrow.
That is the ugliest looking Ute ever
Not impressed.. Overpriced
I'm looking for a new car. This is top of my list…BUT. I've had 2 over the past few years. The Automatic was glorious EXCEPT towing. I pull 3.5ton regularly and the L2000 Auto transmission would overheat on inclines very quickly and go into limp. NOT good with a clients horses in the trailer. As it was only when towing a heavy load the warrantee was invalid??????? and could only be fixed wit a £1500 modification. HAS THIS BEEN ADDRESSED??
Why would Mitsubishi implement a fancy traction control system to brake the spinning wheel if it has a diff-locker??
Would like a tow test please
want this in the USA so badly, would be killer in the snow.
this car falls way short of what you would expect from a new UTE at this price and it is the ugliest front end on any car in its class.
Triton is just the best out there and i am purchasing some really soon..
For the test traction control at 27:35, you should use the 4HLc = 4H on Hilux or Ranger for the fair comparison. 4H of super select 4WD II does not lock the center diff.
I really like this truck, but in Barbados it costs $162,000 Barbados dollars ($81,000 US).
Sub’d from Cambodia. Appreciate the great videos. We didn’t have this awesome truck in the States, glad I’m here now to enjoy them.
This review pays to read other comments . Either you weren't in neutral or the car had a minor problem. Other users don't get the same issues
Those dashboard gauges and steering wheel look suspiciously similar to my 2022 Nissan Navara… Heard they were platform sharing for the new models, interested to see Nissans new version.
The nanny tech out meet of straight away
Hi – https://youtube.com/@carexpertaus do you know what upgrades or changes are coming for the Triton and Dmax for 2025?
Auz gets them first before coming South Africa so we watch channels like yours a lot to get the sneak preview and advice
Really….So they added another turbo and it only gained 17kw and 40nm how on earth did they manage to gain so little power is the new turbo they added the size of a golf ball😂
