  1. Would a tunnel instead of a bridge not make more sense? As a tunnel would have less impact on shipping and the environment and could be used even in all weather conditions.

  2. Invaders will cross from one end of the bridge to the other. Just imagine the Russian forces crossing the Antonovsky bridge in Feb 2022, u guys get the idea… I think after 2022, both Spain and Morocco and many other countries will think 1000 times before making a bridge…

  3. With continental drifts, Africa is going to collide with Europe, albeit a couple of million years from now, but it is moving towards Europe at approx 5 cms per year, so that's about as fast as your fingernails grow, and if they built the bridge they would have to allow for this movement..😊

  4. It's probably due to race yes, like Europeans were the first "supposedly" to force African slaves to the slave trade. So there's that. Also could u imagine all the refugee's trying to cross that bridge every day to get into Europe!? Like when the genocide takes place in Africa, they would go straight for that bridge!

  5. There is no economic need for such a bridge. Connecting the Sahara Desert to Spain is pointless. There are cities on both coasts, but there isn't a great deal of manufacturing or agriculture in either region. There's nothing to trade.
Any traffic bound for the rest of Europe would have to traverse all of Spain, the Pyrenees, and then France.

  6. For people or cargo to cross the bridge it has to get there. To get there would likely take 99% of the traffic going across, well out if its way, far enough that it would be simpler cheaper and quicker to go from its origin to destination by other more direct routes and means that it currently does anyway. Even from north Spain to say Egypt it would be either quicker or cheaper to use existing shipping and airfreight than divert down to the far south, then all the way across n africa, to Egypt. Not to mention the need for massive upgrade of road systems across especially n africa but also down to southern Spain.

  7. There are several underwater tunnels in Tidewater Virginia the midtown tunnel the chesapeake bay bridge tunnel the Portsmouth tunnel all be it these are shorter underwater tunnels but we can do it. They just don't want nobody to blow it up. I hate to say it but smuggling and all kinds of dirt will be going on through that tunnel. Drugs and everything else.

  8. Give it back? Ceuta and melilla CAN'T go back to Morocco because THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN part of Morocco. Saying they should return to Morocco is like saying that San Francisco should return to Russia.

    This video is so stupid…

  9. Balearic Islands, Canary Islands are also part of the UE… I can understand not including invisible islands, but look that map, it is really uggly to not include those islands.

Also, what the hell with "Give it back"? Ceuta and melilla CAN'T go back to Morocco because THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN part of Morocco. Saying they should return to Morocco is like saying that San Francisco should return to Russia.

  10. You could build a tunnel connecting
    Europe and Africa.There is only
    Eight Miles between the two.
    The Euro-Tunnel connects the
    UK and France.Therefore there
is no logical reason for not
    connecting Europe and Africa.
    The Euro-Tunnel is Twenty-One
    Miles long.
We have built the Suez and
    Panama Canals.That was
    an Engineering Feat.
I can see no problem in
    building an Eight Mile
    Tunnel.

  11. Tell me about how a tunnel connecting Morocco to Spain limits shipping traffic….. The lack of slave labor is why the nothing gets done. Much of this world would not be built if they actually had to pay for labor.
