How Mitsubishi Turned A Boring SUV Into A Dakar Champion

The Mitsubishi Pajero looks like your average family hauler. But underneath the practicality, it’s a Dakar dominating machine that helped Mitsubishi build a legacy.

We were supposed to buy the Pajero final edition but we can't seem to get rid of any of our 3 older Pajero. They still work very well. Cheap parts, easy to fix. Both gas and diesel models. Mine would probably be my final car. Hate the tech on new cars. Unnecessary novelty, more stuff that could break.

@KuyaVenture

One ot the reasons I keep my 2009 4×4 montero sport/pajero sport RELIABILTY

@jamesdrives993

I'm proud of my 1995 Mitsubishi Pajero V6, it can go places where other SUVs would be stuck and it's an uncommon sight on the road too. The only downside is the maintenance. I have to wait for months to import a few spare parts from Japan.

@ampur2

my first thought as to why Mitsubishi could win more than other manufacturers, is because they build vehicles for military, and correct I am lol

@BryceLois0828

The pajero evo was a legend

@ciscosebanes

Mitsubishi Evo❤

@JohnSmith-qk4rm

It is only a champion because no one else want to join there type, Mitsubishi was the only one which joined that T2 group. Every time Mitsubishi join the race, it will garanted be the chanpion, that was why.

@zerotolerance3560

Similarities of the pajero and the dakkar pajero..
4 wheels
Headlights
Pajero sticker

There is nothing resembling the daily driven pajero. Everything is specialized, forged.

@ThePandasian34

The Pajero was the rally big brother to the lancer evo

Mitsubishi king of the world champion

@derJackistweg

You can call it "Pajero" – it still is a RACECAR!
It has NOTHING to do with ANY civilian can.

@Garuddd

My father bought a
Pajero when i was 8 now im 28 and its my daily driver still running strong

@macoyupadoodle

I have the thumbnail ver. (Montero Sport) and, after 16 years , is still a daily (most used) .

@Bibekarj

How is it boring.. Pajero is a legend..

@shappirefishing1186

Magnificent

@helderluis4313

i know that pajero was a winning car, but you had to see the story of the UMM team (Portuguese team) all of them finished and still helped a lot of teams!
