TIPS FOR ANY FOREIGNER-
BACK in the days watched this YouTube where some African Americans were complaining about this or that in Tanzania:-
1. Corruption: Like many other Third World Countries, African ones in particular, YES, you might face some petty corrupt officers especially if you want some shortcuts!
2. Mandatory Swahili: Those Americans complained that in order to get Resident Permit, you MUST learn and understand Swahili!!!
GUYS, that's TOTALLY FALSE. There's no such requirement! Learning Swahili is for your own good.
Swahili optional requirement is when you apply for naturalization, and the law doesn't say you MUST understand Swahili BUT you'd have a knowledge of EITHER Swahili OR English.
3. When you come with tourist visa, you might face challenges to extend it after 90 days. Visit immigration portal to know ABCs of these stuff!
4. If you wish to settle, please visit TIC Website to find available opportunities. And if you have decent income for investment, TIC will help you almost with everything to get you started… including land lease. REMEMBER: Even we Tanzanians, legally we don't OWN land and instead, land is a government property! However, you can "own" the land on leasehold basis for a period of 33 years, 66 years or 99 years. You can find more about this on TIC Website!
