This isn't even a "got a lot of money" asshole thing. This is just an entitled driver thing. I bike to and from work every day, and even though it's only a 5km ride, I see multiple cases each day of people speeding and running reds, changing lanes without indicating, treating the roads like their own private race track. You show me a driver who knows the road rules, and I'll show you someone who just got their learner's permit and hasn't had their parents' bad driving habits rub off on them yet.

in his apology on X he was even saying that he didn't want to leave the impression of him covering up the whole thing, yet a few hours earlier they were actively deleting youtube comments mentioning the speeding and even blocking commenters.
they eventually realized it's too late when mutahar from some ordinary gamers talked about it in detail, they then gave up and stopped deleting comments.
also: in his apology he didn't even mention where he was speeding and how fast, i guess 96mph in a residential area with "kids" signs and a 35 limit doesn't sound so good.
also he said nothing about the fact that the speedo was blurred in the first place.
very ugly situation, horribly handled too.

He was doing 150km/h (95pmh) in a 50km/h (30mph) road with "children zone" signs. It's despicable. Marques' façade of being a normal human being that just so happens to be a millionare youtuber is breaking down fast.
People who drive expensive cars are less likely to stop at cross-walks too.
The sidekick channel turning into a drama channel would not be something I'm against but not sure that's what scott wants
What really needs to be talked about is how normalized in general excessive speeding is, a significant portion of the population drives 15+ and much more over the speed limit constantly and doesn't even consider it at all

I enjoyed the part where he said "wow, old cars are small." Cars for poor people today are small too, you just don't live that life.
This one makes me sad. I even defended the stupid wallpaper app because i thought Marques was a good guy. But this is really indefensible and could have been devastating… Shame shame.

I felt the driving clip did add something to the video I wish he just had a similar clip just within the speed limit
Especially after the Jack Doherty stuff a month ago (for those not in the know: the worst YouTuber, Jack Doherty, was texting and speeding, on a livestream, and crashed his super car), I'm amazed Marques left a clip of him speeding in a fancy car in the video in the first place.
