You look like a dagomba man from the north
Thanks for all the good videos. It seems like if you have the money and go to the right place you can get good treatment. But how does it work as far as an emergency if you are not close to accra? Would you have to just try to make it to accra in time in other words? 😅 I have heard Ghana doesn't have ambulances the way places like the UK and US do especially in the parts of Ghana I would be looking for land.
I live in Texas and plan to make the move one day.
We have good doctors here soon they will have what they need
Curious. What did you end up doing with the meds that you bought at Korle Bu?
See, this is very important to me. People need to research things like this before packing up and moving to a different continent. I was horrified at what you had to do prior to surgery. (ie) going to the pharmacy, paying up front, they don't accept U.S. health insurance. These are things people need to check out before they go " Wheels Up". I'm glad you have each other.
Hallo beautiful familyThank God Mr.Tonny is well again,i can imagine how mrs wenn through.Try German clinic in Ridge. They Accenture foreighn health care insurance. They are very good..i wish you both more strenght and energy.
That’s great meeting Dr from MD Anderson in Houston , that keeps you at ease . . That’s what a Dr should do first ! Labs to evaluate labs that may say something , ct scan may diagnose problem . The first place , what were the Surgery for , were they going to do endoscopy ???
America that will cost in thousands of $ , just being in ER , but with insurance it’s covered !!🙏🏾 Hope you are feeling better 💐🙏🏾
Drs not trained in placing I v ,in America the nurses are the ones experienced in placing I V , or some hospitals has an intravenous Team , and that’s all the do . Sometimes when you sick like that you are dehydrated and more difficult in finding a vein . In America , Hospital may have a vein finder instrument that can find the vein easier . Drs will place the central line , pick line these are special intravenous line . Some hospital has special PICC line Nurses .
Korle bu needs a Serious renovation. The new hospital at the University of Ghana Legon is so nice and we'll equipped.
Top of the class to their standard is the problem, not to the American standard.
I am a Ghanaian born and bread here in Ghana and I dread Korle-bu to the core. Personally, the 37 Military Hospital is a better option (for me). Korle-bu de3, after losing my dad there, daabi.
What was Tony problem?
Yaaayyy for Lucca Health!!! 😅
Thanks for another great video with transparent details as usual! So far Ghana is still exceeding my expectations vicariously through you!💪
Scary stuff. Could have easily died if you went with their surgery recommendation. If the anesthesiologist is off slightly, you are in a coma. Definitely why I’m always keeping my US citizenship and health insurance. Quick flight back and you get the best care on earth.
Why can't you just say the hospital was not up to your standards 🤔
Always pay attention to all the signals that your body gives you; these signals are given so that you can get preventative care and help in avoiding urgent care, which may lessen your options if critical care is needed
I'm an expat in Ghana in need of a good health care.
Please may I have the name of the health-care facility that took proper care of Tony. Thank you and God bless
The county hospital in America haven't changed tremendously. They have been remodeled. And the care is good. They have good doctor's. With specialty practices. You do know in America that it is the county hospitals that find the cure to diseases and treatment. Because the government put lots of money into these facilities. And they work hand in hand with the private hospitals. And many of their doctors teach all over the world. I would know. Because I used to work for them. So no. The county hospitals in America are pretty good. Because they have seen it all and have done it all. And have saved lives that most facilities could not have done. And most of their doctors are in a specialty of some kind if not more than one. ✌️❤️🇺🇸👍👍👍👍
Why don't you guys just be honest Africa healthcare system sucks stop trying to dress it up it sucks I know people in Africa now it's ridiculous you know Africans have to blame Africans for the for the state of their countries man it's ridiculous the corruption you talk about the corruption in America the corruption in Africa is probably 20 times worse they don't even care about their own people man so just be honest stop trying to dress it up and sugar coat it I would never move to africa.
Bruh … They were going to let the students practice on Tony! 👀
Wow! I hope by now there has been a great deal of updates and some health insurance plans that I didn't hear you speak on.
?? Is non-GMO food available in Ghana?
Colebu hospital is very old am 😊 you made the right decision to go for second opinion
Doctors should all be paid the way all government workers are paid. Instead you have surgeons who think they are movie stars. They only similarity they have is that they charge a fortune and disable you in the process with their surgery.
Hospitals in Ghana are not for emergencies the hospitals are for extortion not dissimilar to the emergency hospital in the US. Best to not avoid going to them in the first place. For a three day stay it cost me $2,500
Great video… I am a nurse and would love to ask a few more questions please.
Shalom
I'm a Healthcare worker I had to assist taken care patient after surgery. When your health is at risk it will affect you mentally. And it's hard to stay positive. It's so important to speak the word of faith to existence for healing and trust in God for his mercy thank God your ok now.
Exploratory sounds like autopsy lol
