They live in crawfish ponds, fresh water, ect… That's why it is a MUST you burp them / purge them. So, they can spit up the mud, and you continue to do so until the water runs clear. Never use salt, but a LOT of people do.
Shrimp live in the ocean / salt water, and some species in fresh water. Yes, they ARE bottom feeders like catfish. But, I love me some shrimp as well tho. I eat damn near ALLLL seafood, and Crustaceans.
